@elonmusk@grok With a round trip time of <5ms what’s the expected synchronisation accuracy using PTP, SyncE, White Rabbit, etc, for a Starlink V3 satellite and what applications could this have in relation to AI compute in space?
Exciting news, the first paper from my Ph.D. is published with my fantastic supervisors @juliepeacock06, and @katatrepsis! We are excited to share ' Vegetation-based ecosystem service delivery in urban landscapes: A systematic review' in @BasicApplEcol.
Welcome to America's multi-user spaceport! Seen here is @SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket for #Ax1 on Pad 39A & our #Artemis I rocket on 39B. This is the 1st time two different types of rockets & spacecraft made to carry humans are on the sister pads at the same time.

I refuse to bookmark a website. I will simply use the far more logical system of keeping 400 tabs open on 32 browser windows until my computer crashes and I can finally be free.
Nearly right. Nuclear is costly and slow *because* people *wrongly think* it’s dangerous, so it’s hugely overregulated. In fact it’s (behind wind and solar, but only just) the safest form of energy https://t.co/c0kLlxREIU
#TIL Judith Love Cohen, who helped create the Abort Guidance System that rescued the #Apollo13 astronauts, went to work the day she was in labor. She took a printout of the problem to the hospital, finished it there, and called in w results. Then she gave birth to @jackblack!
@BuckleysPants@Nabs_Tagger@FearLeviathans@playnewworld@Danielpolivas1 This is handled through proper hardware design. Including having a ton of sensors monitoring voltages + temperatures, and appropriate firmware to manage the hardware based on those sensor readings. You take the same risks every time you use your GPU to play any demanding game.
"I wasn't depressed. I still had hope. Wasn't burned out, had energy. Wasn't lonely, I was with my family. I just felt a little bit aimless and a little bit joyless...there's a name for that feeling: languishing."
Great new TED Talk from @AdamMGrant

Tesla AI Day showed incredible engineering at all levels: AI hardware for inference & training, neural net design innovation, data, tools, auto-labeling & long-term vision for future of robotics. Here's a quick video I made on the key ideas presented: https://t.co/94ydBp2J3y
.@elonmusk: “Our cars are semi-sentient robots on wheels…it kind of makes sense to put that onto a humanoid form…to automate dangerous, repetitive, or boring tasks.
You can run away from it, and most likely overpower it. Hopefully that doesn’t ever happen, but you never know.”
Marvel's 'What If' just debuted and there's a line in there about Howard Stark spending a weekend with Hedy Lamarr. For many that sounds like another fling, but the nerds out there know she was teaching him about frequency hopping radio. #WhatIf
@waitbutwhy Worse. I think we’ve had the technology for over a decade, but have lacked the economical + political willpower to do much about it. We now have ~8 years left until 1.5C?
Society will have to make hard decisions, probably like embracing nuclear energy as an alt. to fossil fuels.
