@LeftyWinter We are not Norway. They have a small very cohesive society and a sovereign wealth fund built on selling fossil fuels to Europe. Not a good choice comparison. Norway is bit like Qatar.
@beyoncegarden Red lining was not widespread. A lot of what is called red-lining was often just banks being cautious where they were making loans. When banks are asked to make a mortgage, the first question is the value of the property. The second question is ability of the borrower to repay.
@ChrisMurphyCT There needs to be a very low minimum wage so that people who are not as productive can work, like the elderly, the disabled and teenagers. Not all jobs need to pay enough to support a family.
@TheDefiantGhost Fauci is a public health official, and they work to help the population not the individual. Doctors look at helping an individual. So lying seems justified if it results in the population deciding to do things to help the population even if it hurts individual. He is not evil.
@buzzmorg@WatcherReports Our leverage brought them to the negotiations. They were making no concessions before we attacked and before the blockade. Now they have.
@CB618444 Their houses had one bathroom, tiny, and kids shared beds not to mention bedrooms. Until the 70โs lots of middle class families had one car and one TV.
@JoeSixPackShow@amuse@VillageHeretic When they borrow, they pay interest. They pay to borrow. The bank will take the risk if they can or want to. Nothing sinister here.
