In both cases, "name" is used to reference shared authority. Jesus in the verse right before yours talks about the authority that was GIVEN to him by the Father(his God)

Isaiah 47:8-10 says the exact same thing about the city of Babylon- clearly other cities existed.

@LDSBoomstick Great read. Might I also recommend “The American Story” by David Barton, “The Covenant” by Timmothy Ballard, “The 5000 Year Leap” by Cleon Skouson, and “America’s Destiny” by Tad R Callister - That would make an epic summer of reading to celebrate 250 years :)
