@ravenscimaven I completely understand that feeling! If I am in a group setting I am wiped out later on - esp meeting new people and itโs critical to understand everything. Also being tired = worse hearing in my experience.
@ravenscimaven Be kind to yourself and budget energy for listening/conversations! One on one convos will generally be easier than groups. If in a group try to talk in a quiet area if possible. Be sure to let others know so they can also be aware and help advocate!

@SierraScientist Sorry to hear that! It might be worth reaching out to the grad school to see if committee members can attend remotely- covid has changed a lot of defense rules at my university that were not flexible at all before!
