A lady told us she feels terrible with calcium 2.8, PTH 12. The waiting list for #parathyroid surgery on the NHS is 12 months. The same NHS who missed hypercalcemia for 8 years. Surely the NHS should pay for private surgery in 3 weeks? Can you make this happen @wesstreeting ?

Becky has been missing since Sunday morning(07/09/25), so over 72hrs now. It is very uncharacteristic of her and she has two children who she would never just leave or not be in contact with.
It’s terrifying how easily your whole life can be destroyed by family court and CAFCASS.
One lie.
One biased report.
One judge who refuses to read the evidence.
And everything you built, everything you loved, is ripped away.
The sadness of that never truly leaves you.
Here's a crazy idea - family courts should consider and take into account whether and the extent to which fathers support and contribute to primary carer mothers' care of the children after parental separation and her relationship with the children, bearing in mind the close nexus between children's welfare and primary care-giving. Yet the pro-contact culture means that children's primary care is sidelined, ignored or taken for granted, and all the focus is on what mothers are expected to do to promote children's relationships with non-resident fathers.
However, it doesn't work the other way around; in fact just the opposite. If children are removed from their mothers to the care of their fathers, eg, after mothers have been found to be 'alienating', all the focus is then on what mothers must do to support the father's care of the children, which usually means minimal contact between the mother and children. Mothers may even be castigated for telling their children they love them, in these circumstances. Family courts and professionals seem unconcerned about mothers being airbrushed out of their children's lives.
We can see how society's efforts, since the 1970s (with the increase in divorce and single mother families) to find a place for fathers in families, has led to the devaluing and erasure of motherhood, at the expense of children's welfare.
Doctors: 'You have a #parathyoid tumour in your neck, but don't worry, it's most likely benign. We're going to leave it there until it causes kidney stones & fragility fractures.' The reality of many NHS Trusts for #hyperparathyroid patients. #Abuse

@SpSallie Are stroke patients left with no treatment until more brain damage is done, or a patient is in a diabetic coma before treating them, or say that someone's appendix has to burst before operating? No - why do hyperparathyroid patients get told to wait until organs are damaged?
@SpSallie@rcgp@AmandaPritchard How many HPT patients are close to suicide before they are treated correctly? Years of pain, fatigue, fractures, brain fog wears you down especially when Endos say you have nothing wrong with you or post surgery tell you you are cured when symptoms and blood results show otherwis
A #hyperparathyroid lady had a clear ultrasound of kidneys in early 2024. She's just spent 3 agonising hours at A&E passing a stone. She now has end organ damage required by the #NHS. How many more stones will she form whilst waiting aprox 3 years to see endo, then surgeon? 🤔
@thetimes We've seen waiting times for #hyperparathyroid patients extend from pre pandemic 6 months to 3-4 years. The consequences to both patients and the NHS of untreated hyperparathyroidism are dire. https://t.co/sVlOcBJXRr.
Ending the presumption of contact in family court proceedings - launched last night, the report is here! Thank you to all our @Right2Equality ambassadors and advisers and in particular to Kate Kniveton MP for her courage in enabling her own harrowing experiences of the family court to benefit survivors and the campaign and to @ApsanaBegumMP for her continued support. This report pays tribute to all the survivors who have been and are battling the traumatising court system to keep their children safe. We hope the report and campaign will lead to a family justice system that places the safety and wellbeing of children and protective parents at its heart. @AlexChalkChelt@BrunelLaw@BrunelPolicy@SheraFamily @ParamilyUK @DrProudman@LDNVictimsComm @RachaelGrey2022 @FiLiAHagueMums
