The Atlantic reports that Raytheon and Lockheed Martin are dragging their heels on licensing Patriot interceptor production to Ukraine. Officially it is intellectual property theft. Unofficially, according to a Republican on Capitol Hill, they are terrified the Ukrainians will improve the thing and then build it faster and vastly cheaper. Which is not a security concern. That is a business concern.

And honestly, they are right to be scared witless. Hand a Patriot to people who have spent four years making drones out of plywood and spite, and within a year you get a missile that works better, costs a fraction, and does not require a congressional appropriation and a light aircraft carrier of paperwork.

The whole American arms bazaar has been quietly exposed. Gold-plated, built for the last century, and thoroughly humiliated by cheap drones and man-portable air defence. Nobody marking up a hundredfold volunteers for that.

BREAKING: US Strategic Petroleum Reserve crude oil inventories have officially fallen below 300M barrels for the first time since 1983, a 43-year low, with inventories declining another 6.1M barrels last week to 298.7M barrels.

At the current drawdown rate, the SPR will hit the congressional minimum of 252.4M barrels in 8 weeks or less, with 46.3M barrels remaining to go.

Iran declared it will wait out the Trump administration until January 20, 2029, but Iran likely doesn't need to wait that long, with the US SPR running out in weeks forcing Trump's hand well before 2029.

BREAKING: Iran has completely ruled out any future negotiations with the Trump administration, declaring it will wait out Donald Trump's term until January 20, 2029, per Iranian outlets and Ghalibaf advisor's post.

"Trump will not reach an agreement with us. We will accompany him until his term ends," said Majid Shakeri, advisor to Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf.

He posted: "The path to victory is neither fighting nor a deal — it is managing the process of neither war nor peace, up to the point of victory. Publicly confirming negotiations with the U.S. is sheer folly. The winning approach is denial, ambiguity, and strategic patience."

Iran's conditions remain unchanged: $300 billion in compensation, release of frozen assets, and withdrawal of U.S. forces. Until then, the Strait stays closed.
