In 1982 I played a real time first person dungeon crawler, 3D (line) graphics and sound. It ran from an 8k cartridge.

8k is about 30 tweets.

Mind-bogglingly brilliant software.

In my experience, teaching students what paying attention looks like, and practicing it, gives a significant net gain (noting that I've never used slant, specifically).

@TTRadioOfficial Natalie is right - detention stresses students. This is by design. The stress should be optimised to be just enough to prevent a repeat of the negative behaviour, whilst minimising the administrative effort in applying the stress.

@teachthemx3 @BH_Chronicles That example doesn't really explain the *why*... Why it works that way is because index notation is shorthand for repeated multiplication, which includes the multiplicative identity, 1.

So:
2³=1*2*2*2
2^0=1
2^(-4)=1÷2÷2÷2÷2 (ie, multiplying by 2 negative four times)
