As a human rights defenders’ association in Europe, we respectfully urge the international community to review its engagement with the current military-backed government, and to make that engagement conditional on democratic governance and respect for fundamental rights.
With a further long march planned, we are deeply concerned by the Interior Minister's public statements suggesting a renewed use of force against peaceful demonstrators.

Pakistan’s federal health authorities have reportedly instructed Islamabad hospitals to prepare for a potential “humanitarian crisis” and “mass casualty incident” ahead of PTI’s September 27 march.

Elective surgeries are being postponed, staff leave suspended, and hospitals placed on emergency footing, according to documents obtained by Drop Site News.

A peaceful protest is set to take place on the 27th. Yet the military plan to use it to make an example of anyone questioning their rule. They are planning a bloodbath.

I commend the brave souls who stand up for their country against this tyrannical regime.

Inshallah the rest of the world will speak up soon. I just pray it doesn’t take an atrocity to make them see how bad things are.

That may be the most alarming sign yet of what authorities expect on September 27.

Ahead of PTI's march on Islamabad, Drop Site News says it obtained government instructions ordering hospitals to prepare for a potential “humanitarian crisis” and “mass casualty incident.”

Elective surgeries are reportedly being postponed. Staff leave cancelled. Employees recalled. Stable patients discharged to make room.

And while hospitals prepare for casualties, the government is trying to stop the people who might fill those beds from reaching Islamabad in the first place.

Imran Khan's three sisters have been detained for 30 days. PTI politicians and workers have been arrested. Roadblocks are going up. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi says the march will be stopped “in every possible way.”

None of this means mass casualties will occur. Preparing hospitals for the worst is exactly what governments should do when serious unrest is possible.

But the preparation itself tells us something extraordinary.

6 days before the march, Pakistan is not only preparing to police a demonstration... it is reportedly preparing its hospitals for what's about to come.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) early Monday morning alleged that two more sisters of party founder Imran Khan, along with their children, were arrested by Punjab Police.

The allegations came after Aleema Khan was detained by authorities in Lahore under Section 3 of the Punjab Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) Ordinance, 1960, and transferred to Kot Lakhpat Jail for 30 days.

PTI Central Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram said the family members had been placed in an armoured vehicle and were being taken to an undisclosed location.

“Punjab Police have arrested both sisters of Imran Khan, along with their children and the sons of Aleema Khan. They have been placed in an armoured vehicle and are being taken to an unknown location,” Akram said in a post on X early Monday.

He once lifted the 1992 Cricket World Cup trophy for Pakistan, a captain carrying more than a team - carrying belief.

When the cheers faded, he built hope in brick and mortar: Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, where the poorest could walk in with fear and walk out with dignity.

Then came Namal and Al Qadir, rising from dust so that forgotten towns could dream in degrees.

He fought for nearly three decades to carve space in a system that resists reform.

He led. He fell. He rose again.

His own creation, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, trembles under pressure, splintered by power, greed, and persecution.

Yet the man at its center remains unbowed.

Four bullets tried to silence him. Prison walls tried to shrink him.
Time has tested his body; confinement has strained his health. But conviction is a stubborn thing - it does not limp, even when the body does.

Agree with him or not, stand with him or oppose him - humanity should not be conditional.

A leader who built hospitals deserves access to one. A man who gave years to public life deserves care, not neglect.

Give him the medical care he truly deserves - not as a favor, but as a basic measure of justice.
