Audacity is an awesome open source software but it doesn't have the best of the interface.
But that's changing.
The outdated user interface of the popular audio editor, Audacity, is getting a major oevrhaul in the upcoming version 4.0. The new user interface uses Qt instead of the older wxWidgets.
Audacity version 4.0 is more than just the looks though.
There are plenty of new and improved features to check out by its users:
• redesigned envelope tool handles gain curves with drag-and-reshape controls;
• spectral editing lets you select frequency regions in the spectrogram directly to apply effects to a specific band
• new metadata editor handles track title, artist, etc tags before export.
• lead-in recording lets you record over a section of audio without affecting whatever comes after it
• You can now work on multiple projects and copy clips between them
• some new layout options (customisable workspaces, coloured clips, etc),
• a new dashboard for managing your projects.
By the way, Audacity also has a new logo.
And it will also push you to sync your projects throught cloud via audio _dot_com (Audacity's new owner for past couple of years).
This behavior can be disabled from the settings.

Few days ago, I have decided to add Windows setup installer to @C3Lang and it got merged!
https://t.co/16kfI4stVT
Why? To simplify installation of C3 on Windows, introduce convenience and make C3 more accessible to beginners.
A while back we created a kanban board using which you can track our progress on the next release
+ we won't forget what has to be done and can see progress being made to have a positive feedback loop

C3 0.8.0 is shaping up to be awesome: yes, cutting down on keywords, going to signed ints and new reflection syntax are all nice, but I just merged the official docgen, and THAT is going to make a huge difference.
