Forward deployed engineers is the new hot thing at the moment with @Anthropic and @Openai. It’s not a new role, quite popular with Palantir for some years and other companies, but they are about to become a high-demand job in tech for AI implementation.

Deploying agents at scale, that has deep impact on the company is no easy task compared to deploying software. Working with old, tentacular codebase, non-technical connectors to aggregate data for context layer, making sure the output is correct.

Clients paying for such services will expect a full lifecycle implementation to have the promised impact of ai in enterprises. And that’s where you need FDE to deeply adapt and understand how one business is structured to get the most ouf of it.

It’s pretty common to see consulting services growing when a new technology arises, but this one is going to be a massive one. Big opportunity.
