XRPL has already proven it can support tokenized assets at scale. Now it’s time to put these assets to use: global transfers, trading, collateralizing, and settling.
The upcoming release of xrpld 3.3.0 includes five amendments that move XRPL significantly closer to that goal.
Here's what each one enables:
𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗣𝗧
Confidential MPT brings native privacy to Multi-Purpose Tokens (MPTs) on XRPL by combining zero-knowledge proofs with elliptic-curve encryption. Issuers and token holders can keep balances and transfer amounts private on a public ledger, while designated parties - such as auditors or regulators - can verify transaction details when required. For financial institutions, privacy is often a prerequisite for using public blockchain infrastructure.
𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵
Batch enables up to eight transactions across different accounts to execute atomically in a single ledger. Either every transaction succeeds, or none do. For the XRPL community, this unlocks more sophisticated workflows without introducing trust assumptions. For institutions, it enables capabilities like delivery-versus-payment (DvP) and atomic settlement, where both sides of a transaction execute together or not at all.
𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Permission Delegation allows institutions to delegate narrowly scoped transaction permissions without handing over full signing authority. It's the on-chain primitive for role-based access control. Treasury teams can retain custody of issuance keys while authorizing trading desks or operational teams to perform specific actions within defined limits. This separation of duties is a common requirement for institutional operations.
𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀
Sponsored Fees and Reserves allows a sponsor - such as a bank, issuer, or platform - to pay XRP transaction fees and account reserves on behalf of another account. Users continue to own their accounts and keys, while removing one of the biggest onboarding hurdles: requiring every participant to acquire and manage XRP before they can interact with the network. This improves the experience for both institutions and consumer-facing applications.
𝗗𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗠𝗣𝗧
Today, once a Multi-Purpose Token is issued, its configuration is effectively fixed. If an issuer needs to update transfer fees, metadata, or enable new capabilities later, the alternative is often issuing an entirely new token and migrating holders. Dynamic MPT allows issuers to define, at issuance, exactly which properties may be updated over time. This provides a practical way to adapt to changing business needs and regulatory requirements without requiring a full token migration.

The release is currently anticipated for next week. As always, these amendments will only activate following validator approval. If you run a validator, we encourage you to review the amendments as they become available.
Specifications and documentation are available at https://t.co/9j2gW93dAD, and the Ripple team will be publishing technical deep dives, implementation guidance, and security reviews over the coming weeks.
Most of the agentic payments conversation is still about what agents can do. The harder problem is how they pay for it.
On XRPL, that's already solved: 3-5 second deterministic finality, no gas auctions, no ambiguous pending states. An agent doesn't need retry logic or polling loops, it just proceeds the moment a transaction confirms. That's the difference between infrastructure built for humans clicking "approve" and infrastructure built for machines making decisions in milliseconds.
We shipped the XRPL AI Starter Kit last month to make that real for developers: an MCP server for XRPL docs, an Agent Wallet Skill for Claude, and a tutorial that takes you from zero to a confirmed payment in minutes. With X402 support now live, agents can already pay for APIs and inference using XRP or RLUSD.
As a Premier Member of the x402 Foundation, excited to help make this kind of infrastructure the standard, not the exception.
It’s official: Ripple has received its EU CASP license. We are now fully MiCA-compliant and ready to meet growing European crypto demand https://t.co/I9GRgvfGzH
🚨Stellar $XLM changed everything🚨
Franklin Templeton ran 50,000 transactions that cost $75,000 on legacy rails.
On Stellar? $1.13.
Read that again.
Seventy-five thousand dollars down to one dollar
That's not an upgrade
That's a revolution in cost
🚨 Ripple just took a stake in Flutterwave: Africa's largest payments company.
RLUSD + XRPL embedded directly into rails moving 1B+ transactions worth $50B+ across 34 countries.
This isn't a press release partnership. It's real-world settlement infrastructure going live.
Africa's $1.5T cross-border market by 2030. Ripple just bought the on-ramp.

The XRPL DEX may become the most important infrastructure in AI payments. Here's why nobody's talking about it.
AI agents don't care what asset you prefer. They care about completing the task.
One person wants RLUSD. Another wants XRP. Another wants a different stablecoin entirely.
With a native DEX, the agent routes the payment autonomously. The receiver gets the asset they want. No negotiation. No friction.
The future of payments isn't: "Do you accept this coin?"
It's: "The agent pays, the network routes, the receiver gets what they want."
RLUSD brings stable value. XRP brings bridge liquidity. XRPL brings fast settlement. The native DEX brings autonomous routing.
That's the AI payment stack most people are missing.
The entire crypto market excluding BTC and ETH has NEVER broken $1.12T combined.
I'm convinced the powers that be have intentionally held crypto back. The entire global financial infrastructure is moving onchain and you're telling me it isn't even as valuable as individual companies?
I smell bullshit.
