@Princesesa_Iman@Jskak21@Maritza_2101 @JoshuaJH532 @Colin_ethics I’ve always found that the reason I resent something is because it doesn’t benefit me as much as I’d like. It’s definitely helpful to acknowledge these feelings to ensure no further resentment can build #CDR21
@laurenstotle@lilybuslerr@Maritza_2101 and most of the time people aren’t mad at the workers but the store, so I’ve found once you acknowledge their feelings they usually adjust their attitude towards you #CDR21
@JoshuaJH532 @Colin_ethics @moses5892 It likely helps to have people close to you who accept you as you are, so you may have a better sense of self whenever it ends up being a more toxic situation. 2/2 #CDR21
@JoshuaJH532 @Colin_ethics @moses5892 There are positives and negatives to changing oneself around others. Typically we revert to the negative aspects of it, but there are positives too. 1/2 #CDR21
@Princesesa_Iman@brandothoughts1 I'm the same way. the self hatred aspect of it ends up just adding to it though. Like Brandon said, it just ends up being a feedback loop #CDR21
@Maritza_2101@Colin_ethics@JA_CDR_Buff it usually is not obvious but just the best course of action in the negotiation. I don't sweat it if it's not something I picked up on, but it is nice to learn and understand why it works for the future. #cdr21
@JoshuaJH532 @hasz_jax @moses5892 I agree that it likely is not nothing. Typically when I am not in the headspace to get into whatever may be wrong it's easier to default to niceties- even when that may not be how I feel. #CDR21
@lilyodaspok the definition for criticism is given a more negative connotation than that of feedback. So it’s understandable that when people are criticized they may take more offense than if they were receiving feedback #cdr21
@brandothoughts1 yes, like the negotiation we had where everyone automatically assumed one of the counties would have less power/authority to make the best deal for themselves. there is still room to gain something even if it may not seem like it #CDR21
@Jskak21@lilybuslerr I remember Professor Gray saying people’s reaction are usually trauma responses in these situations, so I imagine it would be this #CDR21
@artfiend828 @lilyodaspok Which is so amazing! I think it’s great that we have been given these tools that we are able to use in our personal and professional lives :) #CDR21
@moses5892 I agree! and brainstorming helps to make sure people’s interests are noted so everyone can be happy with the outcome of the collaboration #CDR21
@Princesesa_Iman@lilyodaspok I don’t think it’s always helpful to have to decide on how you feel in the moment. It(in my experience) will not be accurate and may make things worse #CDR21
@doni_e_blakaj@lilyodaspok I’m the same way. I usually talk to someone as a way to think out my problems and find solutions, as well as place how I feel about a given situation #CDR21
