@realannapaulina Then stop supporting Israel, deliver on mass deportations, and deliver on making the cost of living affordable. Republicans control both chambers of Congress & the White House, & we see no results. Instead @POTUS is telling us Mark Levin is real MAGA and to fall in line.
@LauraLoomer It wouldn't if the Republican administration focused exclusively on America First policies and ignored its Israel First wing. Both parties have an Israel problem. It's going to be a very bad midterm election if Republican elites don't wake up soon.
@misfitpatriot_ Maybe start by putting a leash on Mark Levin and that crowd first. I'm glad to see someone calling out the MIGA grifters for once as they're never held accountable & turn people off. If Republicans don't switch gears soon on Israel midterms won't go well. Time to get ahead of it.
Two other thoughts:
(1) There are now going to be essentially four Democratic Socialist members of Congress from NYC.
Even in the 20th century heydey of Jewish and other immigrant socialists in New York, you never had more than one self-declared socialist in Congress at a time.
This is a political earthquake.
(2) Again, my personal extreme dislike for Mamdani and his policies aside, as an advocate, I can only respect what he did. He made incredibly high-risk moves that angered Democrat power brokers to champion the candidacies of people who supported his views.
That showed both courage and political judgement about what was possible. That's a rare combination and I wish more GOP leaders had it.
If they did, our congressional delegations would be a lot better.
@RNCResearch@ScottJenningsKY This should be a golden opportunity for Republicans, but instead the MIGA minority in the party is forcing insanely woke pro-Israel policies on us that the majority of Republicans, especially those who are young or middle aged, despise. Pro-Israel policies don't win elections.
@toddstarnes His opponent who defeated him is also Jewish. You might want to include that part. His opponent, however, does not support Israel's genocide like Goldman did.
@realJeremyCarl It's definitely a gift for Republicans but on the condition we can sort out the issues with MIGA in the party. While Israel is not as toxic with Republicans as it is Democrats at the moment, it is quickly becoming so especially with younger and middle aged Republicans.
My takeaways from tonight's Congressional elections in NYC
(1) I despise Mamdani but he has shown himself to be an incredibly formidable politician. Underestimate him at your peril.
He endorsed against two Congressional incumbents in high risk races and looks like he's going to win both of them with Lander and Chevalier. Plus his third "outsider" endorsement of Valdez also won easily.
(2) Mass Immigration and cultural drift has truly made NYC a post-American city. That's the future of America if we don't close the border and have mass deportations. All three of Mamdani's endorsees are literal self-declared socialists who will now be in Congress.
(3) Israel, and in particular AIPAC are absolutely toxic in a Democrat primary-- especially anywhere vaguely "progressive"-- Israel was arguably the central issue in all three of these primaries and the candidate that was more hostile to Israel won in each. Expect a lot of Democrats to swing much harder against both AIPAC and Israel going forward.
(4) The radicalism of these soon-to-be Congressmen is going to be a headache for Democrat leadership in the House and a gift to the GOP.
The future of the Democrat party is radical and post-American in it's orientation. Since all of these candidates are in the world's media capital, they are going to get tons of attention.
That isn't going to play well for the Dems in 2026 and 2028.
Really shameful to see Israel sell the Iranian opposition and dissidents out like this. Israel will struggle to ever bring about the regime change they are so desperately trying to force when Iranians see transparently how Israelis put their lives at risk.
Iranian security services have been hunting down Starlink users for years. Simply to score political points against Netanyahu, Bennett has now provided additional ammunition for Iran to crack down.
Israel really appears to view Iranian dissidents as mainly cannon fodder.
One of the most incompetent aspects of Israel's strategic blunder in Iran has been the premature activation of a network of civil societal shapers Mossad spent years to build
The regime clamped down on these networks with unprecedented force creating a deterrent to move when Israel started the full air war
@TweetsHeel@mikepompeo When did I say I'm motivated only by concern for Christians? I want Jews to be safe & have dignity. Same for Muslims & all innocent people. My issue with Israel is US funding for them. We aren't funding the Nigerians killing Christians. We shouldn't be giving aid to any country.
@ArynneWexler@megynkelly@alexbruesewitz Why aren't you answering his questions? He's making some very serious allegations against you and you just keep deflecting.
@TweetsHeel@mikepompeo This post was not about Nigeria, it was about the Middle East. I abhor the killings of Christians in Nigeria and violence in general. Why is anyone offering legitimate criticism of Israel antisemitism to you?
