چاچا شاہ عالم کو ۹ مئی کے مقدمات میں نامزد کر کے ایک سال تک سرگودھا جیل کی سلاخوں کے پیچھے قید رکھا گیا۔ انہوں نے کبھی وکلاء سے اپنے کیس کے بارے میں کچھ نہ پوچھا، بس ایک ہی سوال ہوتا تھا: «خان صاحب خیریت سے ہیں؟»

چاچا شاہ عالم اُن خوش نصیبوں میں سے تھے جن کے لیے خود چیئرمین عمران خان نے جیل سے حکم دیا: «شاہ عالم کو جیل سے جلدی نکالو»۔

قوم ایسے ہیروز کی قربانیوں کو ہمیشہ یاد رکھے گی۔
