Mom 1st (all else is for his future). Public Historian. Archeologist of the buried underdog’s story cuz aren’t they more interesting? R/T= got me for a second.
Super PACs are allowing billionaires & special interests to spend limitless money to buy candidates and our democracy.
We must abolish them.
Proud to be the lead sponsor of the Abolish Super PACs Act in the House and am grateful to @SenSanders for his leadership in the Senate.
Louisiana ranks near the bottom in damn near everything that matters — economy, crime, education, healthcare, infrastructure — but instead of fixing that, they’re focused on taking power from a majority Black community in New Orleans.
This bill to remove the Clerk of Criminal Court isn’t about reform. It’s about control.
You can’t say you believe in local control and then override local voters when you don’t like who they elected.
I said it plain: this is reconstructionist, and it’s racist.
You use the government as a job farm building jails in your to employ your constituents and then talk efficiency and eliminate jobs in Black communities.
You’re failing your voters and some of them are starting to see the light.
Every vote you make reflects your moral character.
History will remember. So will the voters.

@jake_burdett@LisaESnowden Advisors and handlers use info, and the question of where that info comes from being relied upon is always a timely one as is who gets a seat at the table to craft narratives, particularly the ones deemed inconvenient/pesky. Some folks make you wonder if they value research.
@rkobell@MsHallieMiller I think that if people knew half of the stories that people tried to bring to media through the years, we’d have a better understanding of issues that already exist. Love “democracy dies in darkness” but so does faith in government. Sad reality.
@rkobell@abbyzimmardi I love that more people are becoming interested in the past. The discipline needs more people who have an interest in mining the historical records, and then able to learn how to do it. The archives are intimidating to most. The same can likely be said about zoning ☺️
