Behind every package delivered, every shelf stocked, and every supply chain optimized is a person working tirelessly to make it happen. Logistics isn't just about moving goods; it’s about the dedication and grit of the people behind the wheel and the screen.
To our team and logistics professionals everywhere: We see you, we value you, and we thank you. Happy International Labour Day.

We participated in the 11th Annual Oil and Gas Convention, joining policymakers, industry leaders, and stakeholders in shaping conversations on the future of Uganda’s oil and gas sector.
We reinforced the critical role of logistics in enabling the industry, with our CCO, Mr. Deus Mukyenga, contributing to a panel discussion where he emphasized the importance of reliable trade corridors, efficient logistics systems, streamlined customs processes, and strong information flows in eliminating bottlenecks.
We also engaged stakeholders at our booth alongside our insurance partner, @liberty_uganda, reaffirming our commitment to supporting the sector’s continued growth.

Liberty Uganda was part of the conversation at the 11th Annual Oil and Gas Convention, staying close to the ideas shaping one of the country’s most important sectors. #OGC2026
Paul Muwanga Kavuma led the insurance session, guiding a practical discussion on how insurance supports efficiency across oil and gas projects. The focus stayed on what it takes to back a sector that is highly productive and exposed to complex risk, with risk management at the centre of every decision.
The conversation spanned the full value chain. Brokers stood out in structuring solutions and strengthening outcomes. Technical capacity and the ability to respond to evolving risks came through clearly as projects scale. There was shared alignment on starting early, bringing partners in from the outset and building confidence in industry readiness, with insurers, global partners, and reinsurers stepping up to support.
Alongside @MLinesGroup , we were proud to be part of the exchange shaping what comes next.
As projects move forward, the need for the right cover becomes sharper. Protecting people and their financial futures sits just as important as covering assets, operations, and liabilities. Liberty Uganda is ready to support both sides, in it with you.
Here are key takeaways from our Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Deus Mukyenga, during a panel discussion on logistics and infrastructure for first oil, at the 11th Annual Oil and Gas Convention, currently taking place at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
🟠 Building a truly resilient economy requires more than just trade; it requires a reliable corridor.
🟠 By integrating efficient logistics, streamlined customs procedures, and a stable supply side, we create a foundation where businesses can thrive without the usual bottlenecks.
🟠 When we invest in strong logistics systems and reliable access to information, customs procedures become smooth transitions within the global supply chain, rather than obstacles.
🟠 Better infrastructure isn't just about roads and ports; it’s about ensuring economic benefits reach everyone.

Exporters often face costly delays at border points due to avoidable challenges. These delays disrupt timelines, affect product quality, and erode customer trust. Strengthening export readiness is therefore essential to ensure well-coordinated logistics and smoother, faster, and more reliable cross-border trade.
