@QueneshaQ@csub_techteach1 Hello Quenesha, I have never tried Snagit before but it sounds like a very useful resource. I like that the students would be able to edit text or add graphics because it reaches creativity interests.
@csub_techteach1 The software that I would use would be Screencast-o-matic. This application allows me to share my screen when doing a lesson and gives the option to record the screen which I could use to post the lessons for students to view.
@ElCharalitoo@csub_techteach1 Hey Juan, Kahoot is a great asset to add to a lesson because it ultimately gives the students a "brain break" while still going over the material. You might also like to try blooket which has many fun game modes similar to the style of Kahoot and is able to be about the lesson.
@csub_techteach1 My favorite technology tool to implement in a lesson plan would be blooket. Blooket is an interactive and fun way to review the lesson at the end of the day. It also gets the students interested in understanding the material and gives me ideas of what concepts they may need help.
@KayleenR412@csub_techteach1 Hello Kayleen, I think Google Slides is a great resource for students. It gives an excellent opportunity for students to work in groups and develop teamwork skills. I think slides can also be used for students to make a self-described presentation to get to know the students.
@csub_techteach1 My favorite Google Tool is Google Forms. I would implement this in a class by doing class surveys to check students' understanding of lessons and get to know their interests. I can also use this as a testing platform because it offers different testing options.
@Meganmize3@csub_techteach1 Hello Megan, I also think that Khan Academy is great and has great lessons for students. Other great resources for young students are ST Math or Lexia if you plan on working in an elementary school.
@csub_techteach1 My tech quest is ready for check 3! I think that the hyper doc to make lesson plans will be most useful when I teach and is a great guide for starting teachers. It gives a great layout for what components should be in a lesson plan.
@ekristoff01@csub_techteach1 Hello Elizabeth, I also think that Google forms are a great resource. Another resource that is great could be google earth because it can give images of where people's cultures originate and give a better understanding to other students.
@csub_techteach1 My Tech quest portfolio is coming along fine. Google Forms is useful because I can get to know the student's cultural backgrounds through a questionnaire. I think Geoguesser can be a good resource for students because they can use it to get to know different areas of the world.
@RubiGalvez13@csub_techteach1 Hello Rubi, Kahoot is a ton of fun to use and gets students interacting with the lesson. I like how it can also be changed to fit the needs of the lesson, but also can be about fun topics.
@csub_techteach1 I would utilize Edpuzzle because I can create a video describing the different components of the lesson. Then I can make stop points to ask the students questions or allow them to respond to how they feel about the class.
@Meganmize3@csub_techteach1 Hello Megan, Lexia Core5 is an excellent resource for analyzing students' progress and works great because it allows students to work at their own pace and level. Did you also know that Lexia Core5 has lessons that can be printed for students based on their level?
@csub_techteach1 I would utilize Flubaroo because it is time effective way of testing the students to see where they are at. I would use this app as a computer time option and it automatically gives scores to me that can be transferred to the students. Time is crucial in a classroom!
@Meganmize3@csub_techteach1 Hello Megan, I have used Canva before to make poster designs. I had no idea you could also make it into a slideshow. That is really interesting to know because it is fun to be creative with Canva.
@csub_techteach1 I would use Peardeck to present engaging lessons because it allows students to interact on their devices. Peardeck will enable questions to be responded to directly on the application, giving an idea of what students are following and which need help. I would use it for lectures.
@tsantoyo12@csub_techteach1 Hey Teresa, YouTube is a great resource full of helpful videos. I have noticed that the students in the first-grade class I am an aide for love anything with music. It helps them learn the material in a fun way.
@csub_techteach1 I would use class dojo in my class because it is a fun way to get students interacting with class work. I would set the dojo to where I make groups of students in the class on teams. This makes students hold each other for learning the material so they can receive points.
@ElCharalitoo@csub_techteach1 Hey Juan, I think that Kahoot is a great way to informally assess students. I remember when I was in school I was excited to play Kahoot no matter the material on it. For me, it was a nice break from normal work and quizzes. I recommend you try out blooket too!
@csub_techteach1 I would use blooket for the students because it is a fun and interactive way to check their knowledge. Blooket has many game modes where students can compete against each other on who knows the material. It challenges the students in a way that they enjoy. #EDTE4200Spring2023TC3
