@Cisraelson01@csub_techteach1 Hi Christy, those both sound great. I am more familiar with Vimeo as it was easy for my teachers to upload video and films that we needed to watch for class.
@csub_techteach1 I would implement Techsmith Capture (formally Jing). I can screen record certain part of my screen where students won't be distracted either by the time on my screen or notifications that come through. I can capture my voice live when I record as well as sound from my computer
@shyjimi@csub_techteach1 Hi Jynessa
This is a great way to check for understanding very easily and engaging. I know many students love competing and seeing their progress among their classmates.
@csub_techteach1 There are many great tools, but I would say incorporating Youtube videos along with other activities will help students retain better the material. I can add videos to help students visualize and engage the students as they learn a new concept.
@Emsa270 @csub_techteach1 Hi Esmeralda
I also could appreciate Google Slides. It can teach the students skills such as collaboration, technology and even practicing accessing information such as the slides from the teacher.
@csub_techteach1 My go to Google Tool would be Google Forms. I appreciate its quick setup and grading when I make assessments and even surveys when I want to find out more about my student's interests and comfortability with a concept.
@VanessaRM_csub@csub_techteach1 Hi Vanessa, using iMovie sounds like a fun and engaging tool to use for students to interact differently with the material learned. They can develop new technology skills as well as show their proficiency in the standards/content already covered.
@csub_techteach1 My Tech Quest Portfolio is coming along good for check 3. I have found Khan Academy very useful. Great tool to use for clarification, practice and helpful in filling out those content gaps.
@samanthadlt23 @csub_techteach1 Hi Sam, that is a great idea! Students are always so curious of the outside world- this will be a great activity to do when learning about culture and diversity.
@csub_techteach1 My tech quest portfolio has been fine. I discover my inadequacy with technology when I first attempt the activities. My Google Form would meet the cultural needs of students, seeing their interests and views, I can use to inform the class about our diverse culture in our class
@MayaCsub23@csub_techteach1 Hi Maya, I really like google forms as well for the form itself can compose the results in a cohesive manner to best incorporate the students' interests into your lesson.
@csub_techteach1 There are so many tools to choose from. But I really like Kahoot especially most students find it fun and it's a fast way to know my students interests. Students can also see and appreciate the different interests in their classroom. #EDTE4200Spring2023TC7
@MayaCsub23@csub_techteach1 I agree. Google Forms is such an easy an interactive tool for students to use and is quick at grading. This can be used as a quick formative assessment.
@csub_techteach1 I may try Flubaroo to grade. I appreciate how efficient it is and it permits teachers to grade the free response questions- this tech tool can useful for any type of assessment. #EDTE4200Spring2023TC6
@MayaCsub23@csub_techteach1 Hi Maya, I agree. It is best to stick to technology that is most comfortable to us to best teach our students. Many students are also use to the google slides format and you are able to share your slides with them.
@csub_techteach1 I really like how Prezi works because it zooms in and out of slides and into others. But if it is too confusing for the students, I can use google slides and add in interactive oral informal assessments throughout. #EDTE4200Spring2023TC5
@VanessaRM_csub@csub_techteach1 Google Slides is a great tool to keep students engaged. I have never heard of Pear Deck before, sounds like another great interactive tool to use.
@csub_techteach1 I would use Google Classroom. I can post a warm up at the start of class. As they submit their responses, I can see if I need to review/move on to today's lesson. #EDTE4200Spring2023TC4
@ekristoff01@csub_techteach1 I appreciate how easily google classroom is to its users. You can easily post important that you want your students to have while also students are able to find what is due and coming up.
@csub_techteach1 I would use Class Dojo, here I can update parents and students on how they are doing in class and share news about the successes in the classroom. #EDTE4200Spring2023TC3
