@csub_techteach1 My favorite technology tool to implement in the classroom is Kahoot. It keeps students engaged and ready to learn more for future games.
@samanthadlt23 @csub_techteach1 Hi Samantha, I like your idea to use Google Forms to assess students in your classroom. It's an easy way to stay on track with where your students are in understanding an important topic.
@csub_techteach1 My favorite Google Tool to use is Google Slides. It's an easy way for students to show off what they know about a topic by creating presentations. Students can work alone or share access to the slides with a partner and work together from their own computers.
@EvaHernandez197@csub_techteach1 Hi Eva, I enjoyed getting my apple teacher badges as well. Found out that I did not know as much about using my Mac Book as I thought. Took me a few tries to pass the quiz.
@csub_techteach1 Tech quest 3 is coming along well. It was definitely the most time consuming for me to do. My favorite activity embedded into session 3 is the Hyperdocs lesson plan template. Each Hyperdocs template was so colorful and creative looking.
@Meganmize3@csub_techteach1 Hi Megan I think Google Maps is a great resource to meet students cultural needs. On Google Maps students can look up all kind of places around the world to learn more about their own culture as well as other cultures.
@csub_techteach1 My Tech Quest portfolio is coming along great! Google Forms is one source I implemented that could be used to meet the cultural need of students. It's a good way to get to know students and their beliefs. Could even go as far as sending google forms to parents for more info.
@MayaCsub23@csub_techteach1 Hello Maya I like the idea to use Google Forms because it allows students the freedom to say as little or as much as they'd like depending on the requirements set by the teacher. It is a small but beneficial form of communication (:
@csub_techteach1 I would incorporate multiple technology tools in my lesson plans to differentiate student learning by allowing students to cover the main ideas of a lesson using either flip grid, Prezi, or another media type software that has been approved. Prioritizing choices!!
@LizethV86248391@csub_techteach1 Hi Lizeth, I think turnitin is a great grading tool! I did not think of this one but it will definitely be in my grading toolbox.
@csub_techteach1 One grading tool I could use to assess student learning more accurately would be Canvas or Google Forms. I choose these because I am most familiar with both of them. Canvas allows for easy grading on larg exam and Google Forms is an easy way to create quizzes.
@QueneshaQ@csub_techteach1 Hi Quenesha! You gave a perfect example of how YouTube could be used in the classroom. I think pausing the video is a good way to make sure students are caught up and absorbing the information.
@csub_techteach1 One technology tool I would use in the classroom is Classkick. On Classkick teachers can create digital assessments with real time grading and feedback. Teachers can easily see who needs help and students even have the ability to ask their peers for help anonymously.
@MRobledo64@csub_techteach1 Hi Matthew I think that Blooket is an awesome choice of technology in the classroom. The game modes are a good way to keep children engaged and excited about learning!
@csub_techteach1 One technology assessment I could incorporate into a lesson is Socrative. Socrative is a fun and engaing app for on-the-spot assessments. They are graded in real time allowing you to keep record of scores and see which students are struggling so that changes can be made quickly.
@mperez_teach@csub_techteach1 Hi Marc I especially agree with your observation that many students have not traveled much and could use more information on the world outside of their environments. It will encourage their curiosity and lead to them gaining more experiences in the future.
@csub_techteach1 One way I can use google maps, google lit trips, or google earth to support geographical awareness for students is by having them research specific locations related to the lessons we are learning in the classroom. This will encourage them to dig deeper when learning new topics.
@itsmekelci@csub_techteach1 Hi Kelci, I agree todays kids do live and breathe technology. Thatโs why itโs so important that we become experts in finding ways to incorporate it into the classroom. I feel that technology makes more room for fun with learning while still keeping students intrigued.
@csub_techteach1 Hi everyone,
For this class I am looking forward to learning new ways to use technology in the classroom. I do not have much experience with technology outside of social media usage so I'm hoping to retain as much information as possible for future use! #Excited
