@SpringerAric@csub_techteach1 I'll have to remember this one. Sounds like a good tool to have and I like that it's free to use. I also lime that you can record yourself or your screen. Is it easy to use?
@tsantoyo12@csub_techteach1 I think zoom is a great idea for screen capture. Many students definitely know how to use zoom and have it installed in their devices already. It is also easy to make a screen recording.
@csub_techteach1 I would choose to use zoom to implement screen capture in my lessons. I have done it before and it feels natural to do so. I like that you can switch from your own camera to a screen recording so easily.
@tsantoyo12@csub_techteach1 Kahoot is a great resource to utilize. It is helpful to see where your class is with their understanding of the material. It is presented as a fun competitive game to quiz themselves. I look forward to using it in my class as well.
@adgc1999@csub_techteach1 I honestly have always loved Kahoot. The competitive nature of the tool is great. It challenges students to demonstrate their knowledge of the topic and also reminds students who are struggling with the material of the correct information.
@csub_techteach1 I think PearDeck is a great tool to use with a lesson. You can have your information for the students to learn while also keeping them engaged with the material with interactive presentations that retain their attention and focus. It is a nice break from traditional instruction.
@misscalles @csub_techteach1 Wow that is a great idea to give them their own slides presentation and run with it. It allows the assignment to be fun as they can get creative with the presentation, but also provide the necessary information. A very good idea! stealing it, sorry!
@colby_kohr@csub_techteach1 Google docs is also a favorite of mine as well. I am sorry you dislike word so much. It can be difficult to work with sometimes and oh is it slow at times lol Docs helps me stay on track so much with my classes
@csub_techteach1 Wow it is really hard to pic just one. I love Google Docs for the sake how accessible it is from any device and the ability to share it with anyone. Same goes for Google slides when collaborating. I am sure I will lean towards Classroom once I start using it for teaching.
@Cisraelson01@csub_techteach1 The students are going to love the games no doubt. As a teacher who incorporates games into their lessons, the students will respect you and look forward to your class. It will be a good relief from direct instruction if balanced properly.
@samanthadlt23 @csub_techteach1 I agree Hyperdocs is such a great application to have in your toolbox. I am new to it as well, but I bet I will continue to use it
@csub_techteach1 Hello, Tech quest 3 is going well. I am finding the time to work on it little by little. My favorite thing embedded from tech quest 3 is hyperdocs. It will prove to be a useful tool for me in the future for creating my lesson plans.
@misscalles @csub_techteach1 It is very important to acknowledge and respect the needs of all the students in your class. Making a poll on Google forms is a great way to do so. They will appreciate you taking the time to create lessons based on what they want to learn.
@colby_kohr@csub_techteach1 I thought Google forms would also be a great resource to meet the cultural needs of my students. It would be nice to create a poll to see what interests the students and what they expect in your classroom
@csub_techteach1 My Tech Quest portfolio is going well. I believe Google Forms or Twitter could help meet the cultural needs of students. Google forms is a great place to ask my students questions about their interests. Twitter has a log of information to access when used academically.
@SpringerAric@csub_techteach1 Your simplicity is a great idea. You could efficiently see what kind of material the students would like to see discussed in your class. Nice idea!
@luzdgpe77@csub_techteach1 Pear Deck is a good tool for making sure they understand the lesson. You could make a Pear Deck for them to interact with and find out what material your students are most interested in.
@csub_techteach1 I like this idea from a movie, Accepted. Students write on a whiteboard what kind of classes they would like to take and what material they want to study. Silly or not. I would use Class Dojo in the same way. The students will be inclined to actually engage with their interests.
