Results are now coming in from Scotland, where the fairer Single Transferable Vote is used. Local councils that don't properly represent voters is a political choice.

As results are announced today for councils across the country, we are already starting to see some wildly disproportionate results.

A gloriously sunny day in St Austell yesterday, we sweltered for a couple of hours then melted away 😀 Our conversations with the public were wide-ranging but the recurring theme was government dishonesty. We deserve better.

The current session of Parliament has just ended.

Of the 270 divisions held, 197 would have changed result if seats matched votes.

So about 73% of the time, the opposition MPs represented MORE people than the Government. But the Government won anyway.
