Without First Past The Post, MPs would not be able to maintain connections to their local constituencies

If your choice is between electing a party who benefits from the system and electing no one, you never had a choice in the first place.
To #MakeVotesMatter, we need Proportional Representation.
The LCER Executive has agreed to send the following two questions to all the leadership and deputy leadership candidates:
1. What is your personal view on Proportional Representation?
2. Would you be prepared to consult the Party Membership on Proportional Representation?
"Proportional representation would seismically change our politics and lead to openness, creativity and fairness suddenly germinating from the dark soil of our โwinner takes allโ political culture."

"3.7 million people voted for us last Thursday. Under a proportional voting system we would now easily be the 3rd largest party in this house, with 70 MPs." @EdwardJDavey
MPs who jeer at remarks like this are really jeering at the voters silenced by our broken electoral system.
@ReadingMomentum @etienneroesch @ReadingLabour would someone from Make Votes Matter be able to come along and speak at all as we'd love the opportunity?
Hey @ReadingLabour - two third of Labour members support proportional representation and 80 CLPs have already passed motions calling on the party to support PR - will you be next?
It is really encouraging to see #ScrapFPTP trending on Twitter but remember this is not about getting rid of the Conservative majority but making sure all votes count. Whether you're a Conservative living in a safe Labour seat or vice versa your vote should always matter
For the fifth election in a row, voters in Reading West and Reading East are represented by someone most people didn't vote for. Let's #MakeVotesMatter and scrap our First Past the Post voting system

Similarly, we did not receive any response from Matt Rodda (Labour MP - Reading East), but received this response from @RachelEden - Labour candidate for Reading West - suggesting support for reforming our voting system
@jamie_whitham Both Green Party candidates in Reading responded in favour of Proportional Representation. Here is
@DaveJMcElroy
- Green Party candidate for Reading East's response
Last month we contacted all candidates standing in Reading East and Reading West and asked them: ๐ณ๏ธ "Do you Support Changing the UK voting system to one of Proportional Representation" ๐ณ๏ธ - the responses of each candidate are published below.
It is great to see most candidates in Reading supporting changing our voting system and would encourage all candidates as well as voters to support @MakeVotesMatter Pledge for PR campaign https://t.co/Jd85mA9s0V
