So devastated to hear Bruce Lehrmann retrial won’t be going ahead because Brittany Higgins is so traumatised by the first trial, her mental health is too fragile to keep going. Why can’t the legal system find a way for victims to seek justice without publicly traumatising them?
Excited that my article with @M_Heyward on Embedding Indigenous cultural competencies in digital and social media has been published in @HERDJournal https://t.co/t4oGrUtZku
Thanks to colleagues and students in @utsdsm & @UTSFass for their support. Please DM for a digital copy.
We’re also compiling a database of “Media Arts in Australian Collections” at https://t.co/ocC0CbLC1k to assist with discovery. Repositories with holdings of Australian media arts are invited to get in touch so we can include your holdings. Happy #WorldArtDay! #archivingmediaarts
These 25-30 year old works were unable to be accessed on contemporary computers, but the project funded by @arc_gov_au & lead by @melswal has made this significant part of Aus art history accessible to researchers, artists & the public. https://t.co/ywcG0r5JVz #archivingmediaarts
A selection of born digital stills from an est. 3200 images c. 1991-94 from 800+ disks in the Stan Ostoja-Kotkowski collection at State Library of South Australia. @SLSA staff have imaged disks and extracted images in partnership with the project. #WorldArtDay#archivingmediaarts
Following are some short excerpts from artworks from the Griffith University Art Museum’s collection, emulated in #EaaS: first up, Paul Brown’s “Sandlines” (1998). @GUArtMuseum#archivingmediaarts#WorldArtDay
We are developing a good practice method for preserving & emulating disk based works (magnetic, optical, etc) from art collections including @ArtGalleryofNSW@ACMI@GUArtMuseum & @SLSA. These hold archives of some of Australia's key media arts organisations #archivingmediaarts
Excited to be included in phase 1 Australian digital heritage project via @SwinHASS . Bringing early, widely exhibited (& often acclaimed) Aussie interactive content from 1990s back to life & viewable on current machines. Yes !!
April 15 is #WorldArtDay. @SwinHASS's Digital Heritage Lab has facilities & expertise in preserving complex born digital artefacts requiring legacy hardware and software. We are working on making media artworks accessible in the “Archiving Australian Media Arts” Linkage Project.
Good move. Plenty of other stuff on the shelves!
Dan Murphy's and BWS to pull ALL Russian vodka from shelves in major boycott against Ukraine invasion. https://t.co/dlsbYZRuOB
Maybe @danmurphys , BWS etc should donate their #vodka proceeds - esp. Russian vodka that is already on the shelves - to support the people of Ukraine🇺🇦
