Urgent please retweet to help 12 year old Minnie find a home, sadly her owner has just passed away #KENT #UK 💔💔💔 Saved from a council pound!!! Now available for adoption, registered charity✅
Breed: Jack Russell Terrier Cross
Female
• Age: 12 Years
• Can I live with children? Yes - Over 12 years
• Can I live with cats? No
• Can I live with dogs? No
This adorable little girl is Minnie! Four years ago Minnie was in the pound as an unclaimed stray, Foal rehomed Minnie but very sadly her owner has passed away and she needs our help again.

Minnie has been loved and cherished for the last four years. She is now 12 years old and looking for the perfect retirement home. Minnie is a very friendly girl who loves to meet new people, she really is the perfect companion.

Despite her age, Minnie loves going for a walk and is very spritely! We are seeking a pet free home as Minnie is very intense around cats and although she is ok with most dogs, there are some she can be reactive to and we feel it would only be fair for her to be the only dog in a new home as that is what she has been used to.

Minnie is still a cheeky Terrier with a lot of character and will be a wonderful addition to a new family. Please complete the online application form if you think Minnie could be your new best friend.

#ThoughtForTheDay

Animals may not speak our language, but their presence touches our hearts in the most profound ways. As sentient beings and a true gift to humanity, they bring joy, comfort, and balance to our lives.

It is our responsibility to treat them with kindness, empathy, and care - to honor the quiet love and loyalty they offer unconditionally. Let us value and protect these beautiful souls, for they are not just part of our world - they are a vital part of its soul.

South Korea has officially banned the Dog-meat industry which will transform the future for millions of Dogs.

For decades, countless Dogs lived in fear, trapped in cramped cages with no chance at a normal life, but now, for the first time, they truly have hope. They finally have a chance to be rescued, cared for and treated like the companions they were always meant to be.

Under the new law, breeding will end, slaughter will stop and the sale of Dog meat will become illegal, which means fewer Dogs suffering and more Dogs getting the opportunity to find safe, loving homes.

Shifting Culture: People across South Korea are celebrating this as a new beginning for animal welfare. The ban reflects a significant shift in Korean society, where Dogs are increasingly seen as pets, with 86% of Koreans not planning to eat dog meat in the future.

🌟 Animal Welfare Hero 🌟

How many RTs can today’s animal welfare hero get?

@NiallHarbison and his wonderful team feeds, rescues and rehomes thousands of dogs in Thailand every year.

Niall, you and your fabulous team deserve a massive THANK YOU for caring 🙏.

[Ricky Gervais @rickygervais]

Had another complaint. Someone emailed us saying that this billboard upset them because they themselves didn’t like dogs. We emailed back “well you know what to do then” 😂

The Netherlands has achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the first country in the world to completely eliminate stray dogs without euthanasia. The government implemented strict animal welfare laws, mandatory pet registration, heavy fines for abandonment, and nationwide sterilisation drives. Shelters worked closely with rescue teams to ensure every stray dog was rehabilitated and placed in a loving home. Public awareness campaigns encouraged adoption over buying, helping transform the country’s approach to animal care. This compassionate, coordinated effort resulted in every dog finding a safe, permanent home — setting a global benchmark for humane animal welfare.

Please retweet, to help Saffi and Raffi find a foster home together.... #YORKSHIRE #UK
They have been in a council pound since July💔💔💔
The neglect and suffering we see seems to be an every day occurrence these days it comes in all shapes and sizes, and today we welcomed little sausages Saffi and Raffi into our care, and gosh did they need us!
Heartbreakingly, they have been in a council kennels since July . Raffi is 9yrs old - no age to be in kennels and Saffi, slightly younger at around 4-5yrs, has already had lots of litters it would seem, and as you can see, they're both in some serious need of TLC and a trip to the vet as a total priority!!! Both have terrible skin conditions little Saffi is so itchy and smelly with lots of bald patches, and poor Raffi is completely bald on his back and around his eyes .
We've got our work cut out to get this pair back to full health, but we absolutely will. They will need a LOT of vet care, so any donations towards their care would be hugely appreciated
We URGENTLY need a dedicated foster home for them both - and they MUST stay together - They panic without each other 4 months is long enough…. They really CANNOT stay in a kennel any longer they need a lot of hands on care, love and Saffi in particular needs lots of reassurance as she’s very clingy and upset in her kennel
Donations or apply to foster if you are in Yorkshire below

‼️🚨Today marks a HUGE day for dogs in the UK. @AndrewRosindell stood up in Parliament to let everyone know that stray dogs are being KILLED after 7 days without the public even having a chance to adopt them. Yes you heard that right. They are being PUT DOWN rather than put up for adoption! @AdoptionsUk first brought this to my attention and I won’t drop this issue until the law changes and we stop killing healthy dogs!! We need other MPs to join in this fight. The public aren’t aware that we kill dogs in the UK because the figures are being hidden but NOT ANYMORE. Thank you Andrew for carrying on my dad’s legacy for him now he can’t. ❤️https://t.co/IWWc3ualih

@ConservativeAWF @RichardHoldenMP @Anna_Firth also support this

@CDP1882 I would love you to do an expose on this of the councils/shelters.
