Let's assume that works out. The equivalent tax would liekly be pushed into a combination of the sales of the vehicles as well as mandatory tollgates in every district. Why not Escom? They barely cover 12% of the population and mist road users don't live in urban zones.

Sometimes you have to wonder the mindset. I heard a random citizen talking about mandating every road user to electric vehicles, bicycles, scooters etc. as a way of saving money on fuel as a nation.

I wondered if he knew that the roads are financed by the fuel levy.
