For me it’d rather be the consumption/token increase than the seats. In an economy where the orgs get streamlined and the headcounts slimmer, you’re leaving money on the table if you have purely seat-based pricing

Back in my WU/Tsinghua days, I wrote my thesis on Chinese Unicorns and how China has been preparing for the future ahead. I spent inumerable hours discussing these topics with many locals and foreigners in China, with whom I still keep in touch.
China does not operate on a short term basis. They have the longest, most-versatile plannings and schemings you’ve ever encountered, ensuring they are positioned for success and civilizational breakthroughs.
They are quick to identify the fields of major uplifts in productivity and future prosperity, quick to act on them by promulgating forward-looking, adoption-eased policies which in effect create the supporting ecosystems and climate of enthusiasm mixed with a sense of mission, and quick to drive massive investments into them.
Chinese are well-positioned to pose a real threat in the age of AGI.
