I think there are two types of curses. There are the spiritual ones, like the one Balaam wanted to declare over Israel and then there are the behavioral curses.

The behavioral ones are the learned patterns of behaviors that can take over a family, clan, city and even a nation. Like alcoholism or drug use that can devastate a family for multiple generations.

I think after the death and resurrection of Christ and the preaching of the gospel we don’t have any spiritual curses affecting any nation, but we definitely have behavioral ones.

@BMcGrewvy This might sound silly but I always thought they should have used Elijah the prophet instead. He definitely had a lot of old testament style firepower. Together with Ransom they could have been the two witnesses.

@BMcGrewvy NICE's downfall was my favorite part of the book. I think instead of using Jane to find Merlin she could have been used to foil coordinated terrorist attacks from NICE. Once NICE becomes aware of Jane's abilities they pursue her and the team.

I love the space trilogy but I think THS could have been much better if:
1. Ransom played a larger role. He was too inactive.

2. Jane's prophetic gift should have been much more prominent as a tool. It would have been cool to see the two sides using prophetic insight to outmaneuver each other (supernatural counterintelligence).

3. Drop the Merlin suplot.

He wouldn’t have been able to. I don’t think it was a regular snake. At the time heaven was opened to the garden of Eden. Genesis tells us that God would walk around Eden and that later on a cherubim guarded Eden.

I believe Adam and Eve were used to seeing members of the heavenly hosts some of which look very imposing. Notice that Eve did not bat an eye when the snake spoke. This means it was not appearing as a regular snake but as a seraph (burning snake).

@Emann1980 @MrUnpacked @sln1689836 No. There is a longer video where they are arguing in Spanish. The guy in black repeatedly says to the guy he elbows, "I am not your fking pillow." This goes on for some time and you can hear another person begin to argue with the guy in black.

No one is sanctioning foolishness. I am talking about solutions. Paul mentions meat and holidays as you say, but these issues are symptoms of a weak and an immature faith. The job of the strong, spiritual and wise is to help the weak to leave behind childish ways.

I don’t despise the weak and the immature because I myself was weak, foolish and unwise at one point. Luckily there were godly mature believers who offered guidance and cultivate my faith.

Having said all of that, our job is fathers and husbands is to protect our family and in some cases attending a different church is the best course of action

@Thatbrian Not pragmatism, obedience. Paul tells us multiple times in Romans 14:1, 15:1 and 15:7 to receive and bear those who are weaker and less mature. We help them cultivate wisdom so they can let go of foolishness.

@SacrdCowTipping Bingo. I can almost handle the passive service but not the lack of felloship stacked on top as well.
