केंद्रीय मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह व मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी आज नागपूर येथे यंत्र इंडिया लिमिटेडचे युनिट आयुध निर्माणी, अंबाझरी येथे '10,000 टनाच्या एक्सट्रूजन प्रेस'चे भूमिपूजन व कोनशिला अनावरण केले.

मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस म्हणाले, या प्रकल्पामुळे नागपूर आणि विदर्भ देशातील संरक्षण उत्पादन परिसंस्थेचा महत्त्वाचा भाग म्हणून अधिक वेगाने विकसित होणार आहे. हा प्रकल्प भारताच्या संरक्षण क्षेत्रातील आत्मनिर्भरतेला बळ देणारा महत्त्वाचा टप्पा असून पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी दिलेले ‘आत्मनिर्भर भारत’ आणि ‘विकसित भारत’ हे मंत्र आज प्रत्यक्षात साकार होताना दिसत आहेत

मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस म्हणाले, 'ऑपरेशन सिंदूर'च्या काळात भारताची सामरिक क्षमता, स्वदेशी तंत्रज्ञानाची ताकद आणि सज्जता संपूर्ण जगाने अनुभवली. त्यानंतर जगाला नव्या भारताची ओळख झाली. स्वतःच्या क्षमतेवर विश्वास ठेवणारा आणि कोणत्याही आव्हानाला समर्थपणे सामोरे जाणारा हा भारत आहे. आज देश संरक्षण क्षेत्रात जागतिक स्तरावर स्वतःचे स्वतंत्र स्थान निर्माण करत आहे.

संरक्षण उत्पादन, एरोस्पेस, फायटर जेट्स, ड्रोन, मानवरहित वाहने तसेच विविध अत्याधुनिक पायाभूत प्रकल्पांसाठी आवश्यक असणाऱ्या उच्च दर्जाच्या ॲल्युमिनियम घटकांच्या निर्मितीसाठी अशा प्रकारच्या एक्सट्रूजन प्रेसची महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका असते. या प्रकल्पामुळे देशाची संरक्षण उत्पादन क्षमता नवी उंची गाठणार असून स्वदेशी उत्पादनाला आणखी बळ मिळेल, असे मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस म्हणाले.

यावेळी यंत्र इंडिया लिमिटेडचे अध्यक्ष व व्यवस्थापकीय संचालक विजयकुमार अय्यर व इतर मान्यवर उपस्थित होते.

Attended the ‘Bhoomi Poojan Samaroh’ for the state-of-the-art 10,000-Tons Aluminium Extrusion Press in Nagpur.

This extrusion press addresses a crucial need. Modern fighter jets, missiles, and advanced space programmes require metals that are lightweight and strong, capable of withstanding even the most extreme conditions. Such metals are produced through specialised processes. If the quality of the metal is superior, it will serve well in every situation.

Government’s persistent efforts are yielding positive results as the domestic defence production, which stood at Rs 46,000 crore in 2014, has risen to a record Rs 1.78 lakh crore in Financial Year (FY) 2025-26. The nation was exporting arms and equipment worth less than Rs 1,000 crore in 2014, which has now skyrocketed to an all-time high of Rs 38,424 crore.

This represents not just a rise in numbers, but a growth in India’s capabilities. It signifies a boost in the nation's self-confidence. We are poised to achieve the targets we have set for the next 2-3 years - Rs 3 lakh crore defence production and Rs 50,000 crore defence exports ahead of schedule.
