EEG analysis in sensor space may yield distorted measures. 2 rhythms (at red & blue locations) with slightly different peak frequency mix across space. the power spectrum of the signal recorded at the green electrode now has 2 peaks in the alpha band. 🤔
To sum up, we characterized for the first time both the spatial and temporal neural dynamics underlying cognitive planning. The findings in this work contributes to the broad body of evidence supporting the role of local FMθ activity in cognitive control.
I'm very happy to announce that our paper with @martiniranic@joaquinvaldesb @PerroneBertolo @TomasOssandon1 on the association between theta activity from core executive regions w/ cognitive planning performance has now been published in @NeuroImage_EiC

Our results show that while the frontopolar theta activity was associated with quicker RT during plan execution, theta activity from MCC/ACC were associated with longer RT during planning. This suggests that theta activity from these cortices plays different roles during planning.
