Loving Jesus by serving my husband. 6nkids, 4 grands. I make a mean sandwich. Silence is golden. Homeschool!!!
Give me good company, good wine, & a good laugh.
@Homeschool_LLC I have always said that everyone homeschools...some do it before 3:00PM and some after.
I have to say that when I was growing up in the 1980s, parents did not help with home work on a daily basis like they do now.
@godlywomanhood Yep. Amen. Except the attitude towards family and marriage began more like 100 yrs ago, or at least 60, not just 30. 😍 By the time the Church issued this letter on the regulation of birth, minds had already been washed over with lies of Sanger of others.

Father Brent Bowman’s statement about his Eucharistic experience during Mass at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, where he wept while consecrating the chalice.
“I felt the heaviness of Jesus’s substantial presence in the chalice in my hands. The chalice became too heavy to hold as I felt it pulled down to rest upon the altar. I felt my hands fixed to the chalice of the Precious Blood, and I could not physically move it. Attempting to elevate the Precious Blood, which I was not able to do for a period of time, I believe I was given grace to understand more deeply the bitter sweetness of Our Lord’s Passion and how much blood Christ shed for the immense weight of all our sins.”
Today we celebrate the birth of a little girl who would be called to become the Mother of her Creator, the Mother of God. Yet, she is born simply as a little girl, like the daughters and granddaughters we hold in our arms. We bestow upon her the most exalted and noble titles, such as Our Lady and Queen, but God’s way was and remains simpler and quieter, yet no less powerful and transformative. It is the way of Jesus Himself. #NativityOfMary
I visited a woman this week in her home. She is on hospice and has limited mobility and doesn’t get out much. She had some questions about Catholicism. Turns out she wants to be Catholic and is well read on the Faith.
She thought she had to go to nine months of classes.
She’ll be Catholic by the end of September.
I’m in a stretch where my schedule has been particularly challenging emotionally and mentally.
It’s often in stretches like these where more people than usual reach out and ask for help, which only adds the feelings of anxiety, failure and pressure.
This morning, I was reflecting on all of this when it struck me that my eyes were in the wrong place
My musings on cause and effect, my guilt about my inability to help everyone who wants help, my fears about how long I can keep it up or whether I’m even on track help no one and tend to make the anxiety worse.
Jesus is the answer in every sense of the word; talking to him, thinking about him reading about him.
When my eyes are on the storm, I sink.
On my eyes are on him, I walk on the water.
Jesus, I look to you.
All will be well.

In dark times, simple truth will still console & light the way! This is why memorizing Scripture/Catechism is important. What is the meaning of my life? Why did God make me? "God made me to know Him,to love Him, & to serve Him in this world & be happy with Him forever in Heaven.
A child who memorizes a psalm at age 7 might not understand it.
But at seventeen, in the middle of the night, when the world is pressing in and he doesn't know what to do, the words might surface at the precise moment he needs them. They will be there because you put them there.
This is the work of a parent. You are planting things for your children that might not bloom for a decade (or more). Scripture, poetry, the great speeches of greater men.
The body of St. Thérèse of Lisieux.
She entered Carmel hidden from the world, died at 24, and promised to spend her Heaven doing good on earth.
More than a century later, the roses still fall.
The “I PLAY ROCKY” trailer just dropped about the true origin story of Sylvester Stallone.
This is as AMERICA as it gets. 🇺🇸
This just RIPPED My face off.
@big_god12@phresh_arrow I take small group weight training with people in my age group. We encourage each other, celebrate each others fitness success, and have a lot of laughs, too.
@Xtopher_Uzo A lot on not being afraid/trusting God/praising Him in good times/bad times.Fathers are the priests of their homes. Fathers are to lead their families in prayer & lead them to God. A father's blessing is different in power than a mother's. Lots of zeal and love in his preaching.
Happy Father’s Day
