New preprint on the population genetics of polyploid prokaryotes! Many prokaryotes carry polyploid chromosomes or multicopy plasmids. In collaboration with @annecmg, @DaganLab, @HildegardUecker, we present a population genetics model for multicopy replicons in prokaryotes. 1/5

@diebner_h @HildegardUecker @EvolTheoArne (1/2) That is right. For simplicity, we do not consider recoveries, and our simulations resemble an SI and not an SIR model. They are meant to demonstrate the effect of control measures on the rate of spread.
