8-year-old Sohaib Khalid was presented before an Anti-Terrorism Court (Turbat) for bail today. He is charged with the offense of sharing Gulzar Dost’s speech on TikTok. CTD lodged an FIR against him. Literally, he is labelled with charge of “terrorism”.

Adeel, son of Master Iqbal and a resident of Absar, Turbat in Kech district, was extrajudicially killed this morning at 11:00 AM by state-backed death squad near Park Hotel in Turbat.

Adeel was a former victim of enforced disappearance, abducted by Pakistani security forces on 8 March 2023. His disappearance sparked a prolonged sit-in protest by his family at D-Baloch in Turbat, lasting over 20 days. Later, they joined the sit-in organized by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) at Fida Chowk, following the extrajudicial killing of Balach Mola Baksh by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).

As BYC prepared for its long march against the ongoing Baloch genocide, Adeel’s family was among those ready to participate. However, the night before the march, they reportedly faced threats and pressure from state-linked individuals forcing them not to join. Adeel was eventually released on 5 March 2024, after nearly a year of disappearance.

Adeel’s killing is part of a growing pattern in which formerly disappeared Baloch youth are later targeted and executed.

The family of Yawar Habib, an 18-year-old tailor from Omari Kahn, staged a protest today by blocking the CPEC highway near Shapuk, in Kech District, to demand his immediate and safe recovery. Yawar was forcibly disappeared on 16 June 2025 in front of the High Court of Turbat.

According to eyewitnesses, Yawar had appeared at the court alongside his father, Habib Baloch, for a hearing when he was enforcedly disappeared by Pakistan’s intelligence agencies (ISI and MI).

Since the abduction, Yawar’s family has received no information regarding his whereabouts. In response, they launched a protest by blocking the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route at Shapuk.

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) stands in full solidarity with Yawar Habib’s family. The use of enforced disappearances must be unequivocally condemned, and the Pakistani state must be held accountable for its widespread and systematic human rights violations in Balochistan.
