@The_ShadowZone I'm personally using a 2950X (Threadripper) + 3950X for both gaming + heavy compute workloads (x264/x265), but I'm not a FPS/shooter junkie. Also using a 7950X for a high-end 192GB RAM virtualization host (XCP-ng, Xen) with a 16 core VM that also does x264/x265 tasks very well.

@The_ShadowZone The 9000 series can be more efficient, but not in all situations. They're also not always faster than the 7000 series, it depends on the workload.
As for X or X3D, I personally would prefer either all cores having the 3D-Cache or none. That leaves the 8-core chip for X3D.

@micha_bloss Das Plug-In-Hybride schlecht abschneiden ist kein Wunder, sie werden viel zu oft als Firmenwagen rein fossil betrieben, gewählt nur wg. günstiger Besteuerung. Nennt man Fehlanreiz. Ladekabel bei Leasingrückgabe oft ungenutzt! Es ginge also besser.
