"It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it" — Upton Sinclair
I think this quote explains a lot of the coping that's going on, but I also think it's wrong! The failure to understand is what'll erase the paycheck.
It’s so strange to hear folks endlessly debate the housing crisis while builders add housing stock in Austin… and prices have DROPPED for four years in a row!
Anything fun that gets added now gets called Valorant, and anything that was added in CSGO is treated like it's better by default but if stuff like danger zone or flying scoutsman were new and added today they would get called Valorant and if Rush + Chickens were from CSGO originally people would love it way more
People who don't listen to music: "AI is going to replace all music"
People who don't read: "AI is going to replace literature"
People with no friends: "AI will replace all relationships"
People who don't practice law: "AI will replace all lawyers"
Do any of you do anything
agree, all of my thumbnails are made by creative people with multiple revisions and I pay them for their work… so what happens when those people start using ai?
not as fully generated thumbnails, but a mockup for ideation, an upscale for low res assets, an agent to update sprints, a summary for a meeting, a search for an asset
at what point do you draw the line?
@adasfile I’m 100% convinced that if AI wouldn’t have been mentioned at all and instead this would have been shown as a “Next Gen PlayStation 6 game” everyone would be like “Oh my God! The graphics are insane! Look how real it looks!”
You can say “I’m excited for GTA 6” here and get hit with “stop sucking Rockstar off” replies. But apparently leaking thousands of devs’ hard work will save physical media and fix gaming, while promoting a soon-to-be-proven scam *digital* currency
How about you stop sucking him?
you see what you’ve done cyberleek, what a POS, instead of hurting the higher ups that are classified as the “greedy corpos” - you’ve broken employee morale…
these people have poured in years and years of effort, and were 6 days away from their gameplay trailer and you pull this shit
I’m in love with this sentence:
“Every pattern in your life repeats until you learn the lesson. The moment you choose differently, the loop ends and growth begins.”
