As a privileged white woman, if this is my experience… I can’t imagine what’s happening to Black and brown women in the workplace and beyond — women who aren’t given anywhere near the same opportunities I’ve had. Women *and* men, btw.
Also we must *name* the “thousand little cuts” that so many of us have experienced and continue to call it out. I didn’t think my story was worthy of telling. I wasn’t part of the movement that was #metoo. It took me years to realize — my story does matter. And so does yours and yours and YOURS.
I dedicate this piece to my mom… who found her voice after so many years… and teaches us it’s never too late to find our own. ❤️ 🗣️
