#FullProfessor
🙏 to family, friends, colleagues, and mentees who came to celebrate my promotion this evening.
#Congrats to others who also got promoted!
Here's a nod to my Asian culture, my parents, and everyone navigating implicit bias. 🙏 for giving me a platform, @ASPHO_hq and @kennethschen ! And 🙏 for the shout out, @DrJessGarcia !
Check out @UTSW_PedsHemOnc fellow @MaryPDang’s #ASPHO essay on implicit bias in healthcare. This resonated deeply with me +reinforced the significance of fostering an unbiased and inclusive healthcare environment for the well-being of all patients. #Diversity#PHOdocs#FirstGen
Amazing mentee Dr. Shelly Saini presenting her work on our group on high bleeding rates in pediatric patients with mild qualitative #platelet disorders

“There can be no excuse for the release of this armed and dangerous suspect after admitting to shooting an unarmed, non-threatening and defenseless teenager that rang his doorbell!”
Our offices have been retained to seek justice for Ralph Yarl. We demand immediate action.
His name is #RalphYarl— a 16 y/o who went to the wrong address to pick up his siblings.
He was shot in the head by a white man who didn’t want him on his property. He shot him a 2nd time for emphasis.
Ralph is fighting for his life. This man must be arrested. We are on our way.
Blown away by this fantastic #HTRS2023 talk by medical student and 🏆 recipient, Mackenzie Parker, showing decreased exercise capacity in pediatric patients 1-year after PE @AyeshaNZia@HTRStoday@HTRSFellows
When I grow up, I want to present insightful information AND memorable one-liners like @CoagScientist. Our fellowship is still laughing 9 hours later. @HTRSFellows@HTRStoday#HTRS2023
