@realDrTT I once did some authorship analysis of the Book of Mormon many years ago. It clustered up pretty well with what it claims (Mormon, mosiah, nephi, angels, Isaiah all are different clusters). Interestingly it put Isaiah 4-14 with Isaiah 53, despite claims they’re two authors.

@maklelan This was my first time hearing about you. It reminded me of a time in my life when I sacrificed my church believes to win over others. Those people ended up abandoning me, but the church welcomed me back, and now I find non-LDS friends respect my beliefs. God is in the work

@LongFormMath Cannon’s conjecture is the signature open problem in geometric group theory. Mind boggling to see it on the list. As a former researcher I’m very excited to see it solved and have already dived into the paper. 17 years I wondered if it were true and now I know.

@dwlz I spent 17 years thinking about cannon’s conjecture. Extremely excited to see that it’s true. I’ve read the paper; so far it mostly seems like old methods thoroughly put together and not anything shockingly new. I’m very happy.

@JasminRappleye For the people who don't know what it means, he said that the sealing includes promises to spouse (horizontal) and promises to/covenants with god (vertical), and that even if your spouse doesn't stay with you, the promises and blessings from God do stay with you.

@SarAllyce I’m a man and I love to see women paint their nails, just for aesthetics. I have a friend who does green glitter for Dallas Stars games and it looks great, and others who coordinate nails with outfits. It’s not necessary but it’s noticeable and nice.

@TheLastNeocon I know you’re not interested in learning this, but for other people reading this thread, the Old Test. also talks about how blood sacrifice of animals does not in itself have any merit (psalms says the true sacrifices are a broken heart and spirit). Jesus offered more than blood
