@USACombine And from someone who officiated the pits at CIF Prelims, the most polite, respectful and gracious competitor. Well after her final jump, she came back and sincerely thanked all the officials individually. Class act!
Neither boy’s or girl’s team were ranked in the CIFSS preseason poll and both qualified to run at the State meet. With all the youth on these teams, the future looks bright for Ventura! @PrepCalTrack@vcspreps@vhs_cougars
@Coach__Thayer @DougPetrick1 You can get any design without using a specific uniform using die sublimation. Check with Josh Spiker at Miile26 sports in Ventura.
@vcsjoecurley@Nico__Young__ Nico’s accomplishment is epic, but also extremely impressive to have 2 runners from the same high school, from the same graduating class, even toe the starting line at the NCAA championship with Jace Aschbrenner competing for Colorado. WOW!
@ucsbtfxc Can’t imagine there are a ton of former high school teammates that are current college teammates running that fast for 5k. Great runs Nick and Garrett - Ventura High graduates!
@DerryEads@vcspreps It was great to see kids getting a chance to compete. Hats off to Oxnard High for putting on a great meet while following all the guidelines! It’s not ideal, but the best we can ask for.
I may not agree with everything @pntrack says, but the points laid out here are right on the money. Doesn’t have to be every day, every rep, but who could argue these aren’t great reasons? I WANT A FREELAP!!!
Who turned you on to the importance of timing in practice? For me it was @pntrack.

@pntrack@Challenger_ST Completely agree with that!!! Some parents hear multiple sports is better. Then, push them into 3 different travel club sports. 3 sport psycho is just as bad as being psycho with one sport all year.
