Jackson EMC is experiencing 867 outages affecting 22,951 members (down from over 46,000 earlier in the evening) across our service area following a line of strong thunderstorms that moved through our service area, bringing high winds and heavy rainfall. The storms caused widespread damage, including downed trees, broken poles and fallen power lines.
We recognize the inconvenience of being without power and sincerely appreciate our members’ patience. Jackson EMC crews continue to work diligently to restore outages as quickly as conditions and safety procedures allow. To support restoration efforts, we have brought in additional contract crews who are working alongside our linemen to address each outage as quickly as possible.
