@DLTarqytek@MLB@GatorsMBK I loved him as much as the next guy but man, he just wasn’t very good at basketball. Never seen so many missed layups, and he doesn’t have to leave the ground!
@sweetlygi@FrankLuntz I don’t mind them existing. They can’t be 200k. And the best way to get the cost down is the eliminate the cause of the increase in cost, federal dollars. I’d love to forgive all student loans if we close the whole program and not make any new loans.
@sweetlygi@FrankLuntz The system is broken because the federal government got involved in subsidizing these predatory loans. College degrees that have a negative ROI are a scam. Some things require college like doctors but those are positive ROI
@phollanov@sweetlygi@FrankLuntz I’ve worked those jobs-and left- and progressed a career. Take some personal responsibility for your life instead of crying about it. That’s the point.
@phollanov@sweetlygi@FrankLuntz I’m blaming the federal government. Cost of high education is directly correlated to the presence of federal subsidies. Employers pay what a task is worth. If you want more money work a different job.
@palhachi88@FrankLuntz Sure but without the subsidies from the federal government. No private institution would loan that much money for a bad degree because it’d never get paid back
@sweetlygi@FrankLuntz How does ending the college scam hurt the country? What’s actually bad for the country is allowing students to go 200k into debt for a degree where they’ll make 45k/year
@GrantrGregory@DC_Reporter In the case that there were some massive fraud, which seems unlikely, they would be illegitimate. It wouldn’t be because the president says, it’d be because of the evidence. Your TDS is showing
@JennDinKC@tisthepamseason Under Trump’s plan you’ll actually make positive progress on the loan, Biden’s plan is an infinite debt trap where you give the government everything you own at the end of your life
