Our work demonstrated the potential for the modulation of bile salt metabolism to serve as a mechanism of action for #Cdiff therapy, presenting an #antimicrobial strategy that harnesses the host-pathogen microenvironment as the intervention target. #synbio#microbiome
Looking forward to welcoming you all to #Singapore! Super excited to introduce #ME15 Co-Chairs! Hal Alper (Texas, @LabAlper), Yan Feng (SJTU), Christine Santos (Manus), Tae-Seok Moon (WashU, @Moon_Synth_Bio) & Verena Siewers (Chalmers)
The 15th edition of the Metabolic Engineering Conference (ME15)—will be held in Singapore from 11-15 June 2023!

After many exciting years in Cambridge, I’m thrilled & honoured to announce that I’ll be starting a research group at National University of Singapore this Summer. Keep an eye on Fredens Lab if you’re interested in #syntheticbiology and stay tuned for postdoc and PhD ads in weeks
Two years ago we created a bacterium #syn61 with a new genetic code. Now we've put the bug to good use and shown that it 1) is resistant to cocktails of viruses, and 2) can be programmed to produce polymers made entirely from non-canonical amino acids.

Inspiring to see how the synthetic biology community is growing in Indonesia! Looking forward to meeting with them again at SBB2021. BTW, I now look very different from the photo below with much longer hair 😉

If the 21st century is supposed to be THE CENTURY OF BIOLOGY then, entering our third decade, why are we still organized and investing like the 20th century?
Preaching the value of adopting standards in (syn)Biology & Biotech to the not-yet-convinced. Same article in @Metode_eng available in English, Spanish & Catalan https://t.co/4hw5N0ZX5T
