Cambodia calls for peace while Thailand seeks conflict. Cambodia requested a GBC meeting on December 24, 2025, urging the Thai sides to honor the original peace agreements from July and October 2025 and to permit nearly 1 million displaced civilians to return home.
Small children were separated from their parents. Young schoolchildren fled from their schools. Elderly people abandoned their homes, workplaces, and shops. These were among the most horrifying and heart-wrenching scenes experienced by Cambodian civilians, following an act of aggression in which the Thai Royal Air Force launched deep-penetration attacks reaching Battambang Province on 24 December 2025. #Thailandviolateinternationallaw
At 10:00 am (December 24, 2025), the Thai military used T-50 fighter jets to drop four bombs into a civilian residential area deep into Cambodian sovereign territory in Banan district, Battambang province, along the route to Pailin Province, before continuing toward Chanthaburi Province. The T-50 is an aircraft manufactured in South Korea. So far, the Thai military has used three types of aircraft—made in the United States, Sweden, and South Korea—to carry out attacks on Cambodia.”

Cyber scams are NOT only in Cambodia.
The reality? It's across SE Asia. Myanmar (right on Thailand & China's borders), Laos (Golden Triangle), Cambodia, and YES - even Thailand. Bangkok has had multiple raids on scam centers, as reported by @BangkokPostNews.
Singling out Cambodia as "Scambodia" by someone while ignoring the bigger picture is just scapegoating & ignorance. This is a regional issue and Cambodia is also a victim of this.
Stop the blame game.
Below is from a UN report.
Day after special @ASEAN foreign ministers' meeting to mediate #Thailand-#Cambodia conflict, #Phnompenh continues to report of more attacks by #Bangkok on Dec 23 morn. Cambodia also asking the General Border Committee meeting be held in #Malaysia Dec 24

For fifteen consecutive days, the Thai armed forces have carried out unlawful military aggression against Cambodia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. These actions constitute serious violations of the Charter of the United Nations, international law, and the principles of good-neighborly relations. The Royal Government of Cambodia strongly and unequivocally condemns this act of aggression against Cambodian territory. The aggression by the Thai armed forces has not only targeted the Cambodian armed forces deployed to defend national sovereignty, but has also deliberately targeted civilians and civilian infrastructure. As of December 21, 2025, as a result of attacks by invading Thai troops, 19 Cambodian civilians have been killed, 79 injured, and more than 518,651 people have been displaced.
@DavidWill5569 @KemSokhorn_st He says « and Thailand is starting to shape up, you know they started with Cambodia they started up again », ‘they’ clearly does not refer to both countries but to the first subject of his sentence ´Thailand’, he literally says ‘Thailand, you know they started with Cambodia’

Cambodia Prime Minister asked Malaysia to release the satellite images who started the war; Thai Caretaker Prime Minister requested to delay. It clearly tells who’s not afraid of the truth.
“It is certainly a strong possibility that the Thai army and possibly the monarchy wanted to restart the border conflict to help pro-military and pro-monarchy parties” writes @JoshKurlantzick

Thailand is using its own politics to create problems with Cambodia…

Canadians from different cities are gathering at Parliament Hill, Ottawa, the Capital City of Canada, to call on the Canadian Prime Minister for help to stop the Thai invaded war on Cambodia 🇨🇦 🇰🇭
This is a lazy rewrite of history.
Cambodia didn’t “love conflict” , it was invaded, bombed, occupied, and destabilized for decades.
Vietnam invaded Cambodia.
Thailand inherited colonial borders then disputed them.
Laos disputes are minor and unresolved on both sides.
Cambodia went to international court, not war.
Countries that want war don’t ask judges to decide borders.
If defending sovereignty = “never want peace,” then every country on Earth is guilty.
Thailand’s caretaker Prime Minister, Anutin Charnvirakul, reiterated his rejection of the ceasefire proposed by Trump, questioning why Thailand should listen to external voices at a time when, according to Thai claims, civilians have been harmed.
“If we listen only to this person or that person, will we truly have the time to protect our sovereignty or ensure the safety of our people?”
This framing underscores a sharp contrast between Thailand’s current position and its earlier statements emphasizing commitment to peace, raising questions about consistency between rhetoric and action.
