@JoeStimo@charlotteeeew Thats it exactly. I dont mind what Wong did but I dont like Englands record and, often , attitude after the game went full time in 2014. When was the last time England won a test match, have they won one in the last 12 years? They’re a much worse team now than they were in 2014.
@bbctms Ill get called a sexist for this yet I like womens cricket. I cant agree with Alex though. England have had so many advantages over the rest since the game went professional 12 years ago, yet they’ve got worse in that time, respect has to be earned.
@MikeyCCFC1969@Foxinthebox1 Agree completely. I can recall all of the World Cups since 1966 and the only other candidate for worst I’ve seen is 2010. There were law changes and directives from FIFA to encourage more attacking football after the dull spectacle that was Italia 90.
@TateTheTalisman@dowrick87 One reason why these are troubling times is that some people want to politicize everything. Has there been anything at all to indicate that there was a political element to the murder? She was a “defenseless elderly lady” no matter what side of the political divide she was in.
@brucemcd23 I can't see why if the £5 million gift was all above board like Reform maintain it was why did Farage need to keep it silent? Also theres a video now in the public domain of Farage saying there were discussions about him running in Clacton 6 months before he said he would do so.
@Goosey30111568 They’re selected to sit in judgment of all MPs not just Farage, although I take the point that they must have known they’d be seeing a lot of the grifter extraordinaire.
@mrbluejay@CountBinface Apparently, Laurence Fox, for some reason, and the Monster Raving Party have said they’re standing in Clacton. I can understand your point, but I like the idea of Binface giving Farage a bloody nose (sure he’ll win though).
@forwardnotback@AlanOlive1 And piling up seats thanks to a third of those who bothered voting is a pathway to legitimate government? All Labour did was take advantage of an unfair voting system to beat a spectacularly unpopular tory party.
@AlanOlive1@forwardnotback Speaking as a 70 year old lifelong Labour voter who has never been well to the left, I would point out that Labour received more votes than Starmer got in 2024 in both of the elections held during the”awful Corbyn period”. Starmer and his “nation of strangers” did for me.
@GerrySamuels12@benonwine As a 70 year old boomer I find it impossible to compare the two. I was fit 50 years ago Im old and fat now. My memory isnt infallible, but the heat in 76 seemed "drier", its the humidity Ive found so debilitating this week. The we were tougher in 76 crew are just tick box bores.
