I doubt the finished manifesto is going to be especially radical, let alone extremist enough to warrant fronting it. We are talking about the NDP here so the only front involved is probably going to be similarities to the National Front.

I get that we’re pretty screwed on the Christian group front unless you want to go full heretical Templar LARP, but how many members of the NDP are training to be on the frontline?

Any purely Distributist political party would probably be better served reforming itself along similar lines: building local communities, institutions and practical alternatives from the ground up.

I’m increasingly unconvinced that Distributism can gain serious political power as a complete system in its own right. It makes far more sense to me as a set of tools and principles within a broader political programme than as the whole solution.

If you genuinely believe collapse is coming, why spend the meantime preparing to fight elections as a micro-party based on a model that most likely isn’t capable of running a country? A movement would be better placed to build the local networks, nests, institutions and practical capacity you’d actually need in that situation.

The RaHoWa section of the new NDP manifesto should be a good read though.

That raises the question of what actually makes National Distributism more viable than plain old Distributism. If the answer is adding nationalism, stronger state direction and other ideas to make it function nationally, then surely that already concedes that Distributism on its own wasn’t enough.

I’m not saying it has to be one or the other organisationally. My point is that the problem appears when a purely Distributist party tries to scale from local organisation into a complete national governing programme.

You can still build a movement, contest local council seats and have community organisations working in sync. I just don’t think party status solves the scalability problem.

That’s really a question for Distributists such as yourself to answer. My point is simply that if you stay purely Distributist, I think the movement model makes more sense. If you want serious national political power, then Distributism probably has to become one layer of a wider system rather than the whole thing.

If a Distributist party can achieve power without compromise, I’m open to hearing how.

The heartbreaking case of Henry Nowak shows how badly wrong policing has gone. A dying teenager handcuffed while his killer’s false racial claim was prioritised — it’s unacceptable.

David Lammy on #BBCLauraK says an enquiry is the answer. But the government can change police guidance, DEI training, and operational priorities tomorrow via secondary legislation and Home Office directions. They just won’t.

This rotten framework was built over years. Labour passed the core Equality Act in 2010, but Conservatives were in power for 14 years and didn’t fix the problems either.

Only Restore Britain and leader Rupert Lowe would scrap this ideology immediately, put British lives first, and end the two-tier nonsense. No more excuses.

Time to restore Britain.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of being invited to visit @GNDGravesend.

A huge thank you to @sian_dodger for the kind invitation, and to everyone at Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara for making me feel so welcome during my visit.

What a truly beautiful and tranquil place. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the overwhelming sense of peace, spirituality and kindness that fills the temple.

I was honoured to spend a short time in one of the prayer rooms for quiet reflection before sharing a delicious lunch with my host, Dodger.

As a business owner in #Gravesend for many years, I have had the privilege of working with many members of the Sikh community. I have always admired their values and the positive contribution they make to our town. In my opinion, those values closely reflect the traditional British values of respect, hard work, kindness, generosity, service and community spirit that so many of us grew up with and shared.

It was a privilege to experience those values first-hand during my visit. Thank you once again for your warmth, hospitality and friendship. I look forward to visiting again.
