After an excellent 5 Notelets concerts with the @TheCBSO@CBSOChorus my neck defo needs some oiling. What do you think @JulianWilkins @e_sings @lucyaehollins
@CrossCountryUK what happened to the 1st catering service on the 8.30am to Manchester from Birmingham on the 20th Nov. Wondering what my extra ££ got me this morning…. No announcements or anything made.
Personally @andy4wm should find a way to get into the commons and stand as Tory leader. A perfect centre right candidate that would restore the Conservatives credibility and broad appeal. To lurch further towards the right and become “reform light” will just worsen the situation
@edbrown_82 Well yes. Unfortunately the plan didn’t work. Although god knows what drivel Farage would have come out with had it been 51-49 in favour of remain…
@edbrown_82 Been thinking about the inevitable referendum thing. Looking at the rise in populist right movements across Europe, I think it was inevitable. Perhaps the timing was spot on in the UK to get ahead of the rise and end the discussion. Poor execution by remain was the problem.
@sibelian62 Disenfranchised voters think… all the parties need to take a good look at themselves to reconnect with the voters. I am sure Labour would have rather got to their majority with a larger share of a larger turnout. 34% of the vote should not really result in a majority of 160+
@edbrown_82 Wonder if Farage should be offered a job in Sir Kier’s cabinet. After all it was his entry into Reform that propelled them up in the polls with mainly former Tory voters. In effect, Farage helped Lab win their majority… 😂😂😂
@edbrown_82 Interesting… Big majority for lab, but not based on a big increase in share of votes. Record low turn out too Shows that all parties need to reconnect with the electorate as there is massive disenfranchisement. Well done to Lab but not the resounding endorsement they would like.
@edbrown_82 @localnotail@andreajenkyns@IsabelOakeshott Conservatives need a time in opposition. Many of the losses will thankfully be to the Tory right. Will mean the more centre right tories will be there to rebuild a much better part without the Tory right ruining it.
@edbrown_82 I think the referendum was inevitable, regardless of who was leading the country at the time. Unfortunately the case for remain (which I voted) was not made at all well.
Could not vote Lib Dem… I have not seen much of them this time, except for Ed Davey and his crazy stunts
@edbrown_82 The Conservatives have lurched to the right leaving a big hole where many 2010-2015 Tory voters are leaving them no real option. It would not suprise me if turnout is a record low for a GE due to voter disenfranchisement
@edbrown_82 I would agree over the last 6-7 years definitely. I am currently in a situation where there is not a party representative of my views. There is a gaping hole in the centre right where no party is.
