Today, Minister of State Col. Claudien Bizimungu visited Vision City Phase II and Batsinda II (Heza Estate) to assess the progress of housing and supporting infrastructure works, while engaging stakeholders on measures to accelerate project delivery.

Vision City Phase II, a 40-hectare mixed-use development, is expected to deliver nearly 1,500 residential units.

Batsinda Heza Estate ,comprising 548 housing units across 18 residential blocks, is designed to accommodate more than 2,000 residents.

These projects reaffirm the Government of Rwanda's commitment to expanding access to quality, affordable housing and promoting sustainable urban development for all.

This afternoon at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame received a bipartisan United States Congressional Delegation led by Representative Brett Guthrie @RepGuthrie, Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.

Their discussions focused on Rwanda’s transformation journey, as well as ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including health, energy, and investment.

Hi Cameron, Rwanda is the wrong example to use to defend the ICC. We have consistently opposed the ICC as a selective, unaccountable institution which has been used to target Africans disproportionately. Post-genocide Rwanda established Gacaca, a home-grown system of justice and reconciliation, which completed nearly two million cases in ten years, at modest cost, while establishing truth, accountability and a basis for communities to live together again.

Gacaca was pivotal to Rwanda’s recovery, progress and stability. A distant, biased court such as the ICC could never have delivered justice and reconciliation on that scale—not in our lifetime.

Minister @nsanzimanasabin and Minister @MusoniPaula hosted @BillGates at Rwanda’s National Health Intelligence Center (NHIC) to showcase how centralized, real-time data is transforming healthcare delivery across the country.

Since its launch, NHIC has unified national health data to shift public policy from reactive to proactive—delivering concrete impact across the entire care continuum by:

⏱️ Reducing patient wait times at health facilities;

🚑 Streamlining emergency dispatch and ambulance response times;

🛡️ Elevating disease surveillance and containment;

🎯 Optimizing targeted resource allocation.

Looking ahead, partnership with the @GatesFoundation will enable NHIC to scale its operations—expanding capabilities toward predictive health intelligence to anticipate outbreaks, issue intelligent early-warning alerts, and prevent health threats before they escalate.

By leveraging modern technologies and consolidating national health data, Rwanda continues to strengthen its ability to deliver high-quality, efficient, and responsive care for all.
