Alright, I'm sticking with @Authory to archive my writing. In case you're curious, much of what I've written over the years can be found here (not all of it, but a good portion): https://t.co/mTxy9jpXJg
@jenni_gritters One of the problems of this is that when you aren't perfect, superhumanly efficient and superhumanly capable anymore - ie, you become a normal human - it's hard to accept yourself! I really struggle with normal human mistakes because I didn't make them in my before kids life. :-(
@jenni_gritters It keeps you hidden because it keeps the focus on your outcomes. YOU don't have to be seen. Just your work. And that's all you're judged for and all you judge yourself on.
@DrWendyRocks Me too. My 5yo has actually asked me to stop when we've been talking about "adult" things because she says we're making her afraid of growing up. She asked me what's good about being an adult. 😖🥺😬 What a perspective, huh?! We shield her from a lot, but apparently not enough!
I approved the proofs for my book "Powering Humanity: Essays on Energy & Society"
Available Q1 2024 & I can't wait!
I wrote ~200 articles 2008-2022; 65+ of them are in this collection w/updates about if I was wrong or right. Thanks to @MeganSever4 for helping me!

@Sarah_Gibbens Would you be interested in a story about someone (it's me) trying to figure out the best environmentally friendly (and halfway affordable) roofing for a house? I have anecdotes and science, incl recent research, for the story.
Here's your #freelance reminder that many of can only sustain deep, creative energy for like two to three hours max per day. If you're struggling to keep focused for much longer on this type of work, don't beat yourself up. Instead, try to plan your days with this in mind.
#OTD in 1970, the Oregon Highway Division consulted with the U.S. Navy and decided the best way to dispose of a whale carcass was to blow it up with a 1/2 ton of dynamite. The explosion caused blubber to rain down on spectators for over a 1/4 of a mile. The TV segment is classic.

Imagine how much good could be done if every one of those 1.3 million people who voted donated $5 to help the bears. We enjoyed #FatBearWeek immensely and we donated. Also, #TeamGrazer all the way! Let's hear it for the moms!
Congrats to 128 Grazer, our 2023 #FatBearWeek champion! 🥳 Though unaware of her title in this imaginary contest, her success is real! For bears, fat = success, & she's set up well for winter.

@maggiekb1 I learned this summer, upon visiting relatives in Minnesota, that there's something called "the Minnesota goodbye." It takes at least 45 minutes and starts with the first, "well I should get going" and ends when they actually leave. My relatives extended this to 2 hours.
