Community Helpers unit is off to a great start! We had a pilot visit our class and tell us about flying big planes! He even gave us stickers of our own "wings" so we could be pilots for the day! #prek#communityhelpers#kindergarten
Two New Jersey Teachers from @Evergreen_Elem wrote each child a note on their desk to let them know why they were Thankful to have them in class! #edchat
Learned the paper making process so we can use the paper from our recycling center to make new paper for our class to use! #sisrocks#issedu#thisiskgplay
Thanks for the idea @MeigPreK! We explored using our @LakeshoreLM scissor scoops to retrieve little toy farm animals out of the water. Kids found the turkeys and squirted them with a baster! Great mix of fine motor and science for @DoyleDucklings#prek#thankful
Our Read Aloud today #Matman Hats tied in so nicely with both our handwriting lesson and our new unit Community Helpers. "With this cap, Mat Man is a ......?" @hwtears#prek
Using our @Promethean board to deepen our understanding of 'Clothing' and 'Costume' from our #wordtime lesson with Squawker the parrot. A great introduction to our unit on Community Helpers. Also any excuse to explore dramatic play with masks! #prek#kindergarten@hwtears
I have great success with this strategy in my #prek class. With a large gaps in language abilites some of my ESL students often are too afraid to speak in whole group. These partnerships make it less risky. We also do it as a think, pair, share throughout the lesson. https://t.co/ML4rZkLr57
