علی زارعی جوانی است که در اعتراضات ۱۴۰۱ یک چشمش را از دست داد، از کشور خارج شد و وقتی برگشت، به‌جای درمان و امنیت، حکم اعدام گرفت. نجمه امینی دانشجوی ۲۳ ساله‌ای است که ماه‌ها در بلاتکلیفی ماند و حالا گفته‌اند باید بمیرد. این دو نفر متهم سیاسی‌اند، نه قاتل. پرونده‌شان پر از ابهام است: بازداشت خودسرانه، محدودیت در دسترسی به وکیل، دادگاه غیرعلنی و اتهاماتی که بارها در پرونده‌های سیاسی تکرار شده‌اند.
وقتی حق دفاع وجود ندارد، وقتی خانواده حتی از جزئیات پرونده خبر ندارد، وقتی حکم در سکوت صادر می‌شود، دیگر نمی‌توان اسم این روند را عدالت گذاشت. اعدام با چنین پرونده‌ای، مجازات نیست؛ حذف است.
جامعه جهانی، سازمان ملل، پارلمان‌های اروپا و هر دولتی که دم از حقوق بشر می‌زند، نمی‌تواند فقط «ابراز نگرانی» کند و رد شود. نگرانی بدون اقدام یعنی تماشا. این احکام باید فوراً متوقف شوند، پرونده‌ها باید مستقل بررسی شوند و حق حیات این دو نفر باید حفظ شود.
سکوت امروز، همدستی فرداست. نام علی زارعی و نجمه امینی نباید فقط در یک پست بماند.
