Gulf crude exports recover
Seven months after the Strait of Hormuz closed, Middle East Gulf crude exports excluding Iran have returned to pre-war levels, reaching at least 16.5 mbd in September. The recovery has reshaped regional #oil logistics. Around 40% of crude now leaves without crossing Hormuz, up from 17% before the war, as Saudi Arabia and the UAE make greater use of pipeline routes. Of the #crude that crossed Hormuz in August, more than 70% changed tankers offshore. The volumes have recovered, but through a fundamentally different export system.

We already have the laws, enforcement tools, and institutions to address real AI harms—and, where genuine gaps emerge, the ability to address them. What we don’t need is a Brussels-style regulatory maze that lets competitors regulate American innovators out of the market, scares us out of the next industrial revolution, and leaves China happy to fill the gap.
Over the years, there have been many Hoaxes, all generated by the Radical Left Dumocrats, for purposes of destroying our Country. RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, UKRAINE, UKRAINE, UKRAINE, Global Warming, Impeachment Hoax #1, Impeachment Hoax #2, Men in Women’s Sports, Transgender for Everyone, and now, the decimation, or destruction, of AI, commonly known as Artificial Intelligence — And I, as President of the United States, will not stand by and let this happen. It all began with an attack on our Data Centers, until people realized how wealthy and prestigious they were for the Communities in which they were built. Higher Salaries, Lower Taxes, and Safer Streets, was the result, and the crazed Data Center attack has largely failed, so now, in much the same way as they changed the term “Global Warming” to “Climate Change,” in that it covers a much larger “territory” of doubt, they are going straight at AI. We will not in any way hinder or stifle the Growth of this incredible Industry. Rather, we will cherish it, help it, and watch over it, as it grows! However, we will also be looking for BAD, and we can do that, very easily, with our already existing Criminal and Civil Justice System. For this purpose, I am forming the AI Force, much like I did Space Force, which has been a tremendous SUCCESS, in my First Term. To that end, I will be announcing, in the near future, the AI “Czar” — Only High I.Q. individuals need apply! AI is the next Industrial Revolution, or Internet, but will be even larger and more impactful, possibly as much as 25% of our Country’s GDP. We are leading China, and the rest of the World, and I intend to keep it that way! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Iran’s war with the United States ultimately benefited countries in the region by curbing Washington’s power, Iranian lawmaker Fadahossein Maleki said.
“The war between the Islamic Republic and the United States ultimately benefited regional countries because it allowed China to push back against the display of American power,” Maleki, a member of parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said.
BRICS members are also seeking to reduce their reliance on the dollar by increasing the use of national currencies, Maleki added.
Michael Kratsios @mkratsios47 calls out how the Biden admin weaponized and politicization of science to push “DEI science” on the latest episode of All In with @friedberg:
Kratsios: “[Sen. Ted Cruz and the Senate Commerce Committee] did an analysis of the grants that were given during the Biden administration, and they found that roughly one quarter, or twenty-five percent of grants at NSF during that time period went towards DEI-related, quote-unquote, science. And if you think about that, that's an astronomical amount. That is roughly two billion dollars a year times four years. That's eight billion dollars of science funding that went to these DEI-related initiatives, and that isn't science. And that- It shouldn't be, and that's, that's a, that's a pure manifestation of the politiz-politization of science, where you had the, the Biden administration stand up and say, "Oh, you know, if you wanna win a grant, you have to make sure that you talk about some DEI related factor in your application, and that's the only way we're gonna give you money." And that obviously isn't the way we should be doing it, and that's not gold standard science.”

Fox News’ Martha MacCallum: “Your family came here from Peru really in the middle of the heat of the Shining Path. They were Maoist communist guerrillas in Peru. So why did your family come to America?”
New York City DSA co-chair Gustavo Gordillo: “The economic situation in South America and Peru was in a really bad place… much of what we could say was responsible for that actually was the imposition of capitalism and American imperialism. In many cases, it is actually what brings immigrants to the U.S. coming out of Latin America.”
Martha MacCallum: “They come here because they don’t like the imposition of American imperialism in the country that they’re in.”
Gustavo Gordillo: “Yes…”
Martha MacCallum: “That doesn’t make much sense.”

Centralization or competition?
@DavidSacks exposes the push for AI centralization and control: "I think centralization is the greatest threat of AI."
"They want to centralize and control. They see competition as a nefarious force, so they want centralization. They effectively want to create a cartel, and that is their view of AI safety."
The alternative path is competition, where market forces help prevent regulatory capture:
"In my opinion, competition is a good force. It's what protects consumers, it gives consumers choice, it also brings out the best in competitors, it prevents regulatory capture, and it has a greater chance of leading to decentralization. I think centralization is the greatest threat of AI."
